The point, as far as I can tell, is that Everything conservatives say is trotted out and twisted into hate speech, while libs can spew bile at will and their vitriol remains unnoticed by the National Media.

I was actually surprised this morning when reading the (NY) Daily News to see that shrill sports commentator-turned shrill political commentator Mike Lupica pointed out the hypocrisy of the media in covering the CBS reporter’s joke, (Faherty, I think is the fellow’s name), while giving Sykes a pass. Lupica, a card-carrying liberal in good standing, essentially admitted the media would have savaged a white male comedian calling a lefty pol a terrorist, but a black lesbian calling a white man an Al Qaeda member? Nah, let that one slide.

Lupica even pointed out that Pelosi, she who was so offended by the golf reporter’s joke, seemed to find nothing offensive about Sykes’ joke. Why? Because SHE wasn’t the punchline anymore!

If you have to ask for an explanation of this concept when it has been thoroughly covered on numerous occasions. The answer is simple, as izoneguy aptly demonstrated. If Obama succeeds at what he wants to do to this country, then the country will fail. We will ALL fail.

He has already made us less safe by his utterly feckless treatment of our enemies and allies, and by the way he has mishandled the EIT memos, as well as his bungling of the idea of prosecuting former Bush administration advisors and attornies If you keep up with the news and can’t even figure that part out, then you are being deliberately obtuse and we can’t help you.

He was talking about wanting Obama’s POLICIES to fail. He wants Obama’s socialist ideas to fail. In that sense, he wants Obama to fail. The press has twisted or purposefully misunderstood his words to mean something different.

And by the way, is Obama protecting the country? He’s opening up Gitmo and letting out our national secrets leaving us more vulnerable to attack. He’s buddying up to known dictators and turning his back on our allies.

Is he fixing the economy? How exactly has the stimulus helped? We’re at 8.9% unemployment with more to come from Chrysler and GM closing factories and dealerships. The stimulus $ is going to pork spending and Acorn. How is that helping? We’re bailing companies out who fail anyway.

Ending the war? Our soldiers are in more danger than ever because of his policies. The Taliban and Al Quida know that he’s spineless on foreign policy and couldn’t be happier. There have been so many more American deaths since he took office. Iraqi and Afgani civilians are in more danger as well. Huge cutbacks on military spending which ties the militaries hands when they have a job to do. He’s not doing his job as Commander in Chief at all.

We want Obama to “fail” (obviously meaning policies), because those policies are proven failures. History has shown socialism does not work. It economically drags countries down into stagnant economies. It takes away individual freedom and gives it to the government. It is destructive to the socio-economic well being of the country. OTOH, it creates a powerful government/political class, which can be called aristocracy, dictatorship or even better, try “thugacracy.”

Actually, your last paragraph answers your own question. People will go broke, get sicker and die sooner under a socialist regime.If you don’t believe us, look at western Europe, England and Scandinavia.

It can be a pretty convenient alternative. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, though….

Sorry, every once in awhile the Democrat side of the Family oozes through and I make (like a Liberal) and say such things. Actually, that sounds like something Al Franken would say to/about a Republican Woman! Heck, something Wanda Sykes would say (especially given her recent tastelessness).

Although personally I find that she usually she quickly cuts to the heart of the issue at hand as well.

And what you are missing is the joke that included the Obama dying of kidney failure part, or Obama being the 20th hijacker but being unable to make the flight because he was strung out on coke. The joke that wouldn’t have been so funny to the attendees at the dinner.

I am so very proud that the DailyKooks quoted me in their Tuesday Jan 06 “Words Of Wisdom” (rightfully so, IMO, my words - poke at their Messiah complex - are wise ): here (about the middle of the page).

And then here (about 3/4 of the way down) they quote me about the Liberals use of ACORN and the strategy of LATE-VOTING Early- (and the new Late-) Voting trends (as I coin it - Liberal areas finding reasons/excuses to keep polls open late, holding returns to see how many of those illegal votes they need to throw in, post-election [like MN] vote manipulation, etc…), Voting Psychology (Bandwagon and other effects), MSM bias, etc…. They, of course, leave out the important details…..

My point is that what we say here at RedState is making traction, and they have to poke fun at it/us - but, again, and of course, never themselves!!!!

Keep up the good work RedStaters - people are watching and they will GET IT eventually, once they wake up and have some coffee.
