Remember how no White House Easter Roll had been streamed on the internet until Barack Obama got to the White House, even though George Bush had done the same thing?
Remember all the other examples of Barack Obama declaring something a first, despite George Bush, Bill Clinton, or some other President having done it first?
Well, news comes out today that the census will ask about same-sex marriages next year.
This is “a first.” Well, to be precise, no state had same-sex marriages in 2000. But the Obama administration is spinning it as another first. Except, it is not really. The 2000 census asked about same-sex partnerships, the only thing that existed at the time.
Where is Obama claiming this as a first?

GT350 Monday, June 22nd at 1:35AM EDT (link)Let the Liberals have their little victory. Nobody begrudged Carter’s little moral victories. In 2012, when Obama is thrown out of office and liberalism is discredited for another generation, the libs will need something to point out as an accomplishment.
I figure by 2012…
– Obama’s healthcare initiative is going to crash & burn.
– He is going to set off massive inflation amid the worst deficits of all time.
– North Korea will still be lobbing missiles into the ocean, closer & closer to Waikiki Beach.
– Iran will go through a bloody revolution and rename its captial “George Bush City” for the man who brought hard-fought freedom to the Middle East.
– Democrats will once again be tarred as the party of irresponsible fiscal policies and soft on defense.
When Republicans are back in charge in 2012, we’re going to need everyone to pull their weight and fix Obama’s Fu(&ups. So if the Liberals can point to these little moral victories and feel better about themselves, so much the better.
