Funding Chuck

There is a rumor in Washington that Senator John Cornyn is desperately trying to get Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner to jump into the California Senate race against Chuck Devore in the GOP Primary.

Poizner is running for Governor currently.

Right now, the only Republican in the race is Chuck Devore. He is battling Mrs. “Ma’am” Boxer, the little lady who likes to be called Senator by men in uniform.

Chuck needs to have a good fundraising showing with the FEC. You can help. The more Chuck has, the less likely it becomes that the NRSC recruits some squishy leftist.

    In the past, my husband and I had always given ‘blindly’ to the GOP ‘machine’. We did not have the knowledge that allowed us to make certain distinctions. Since the election, and becoming a lot more politically aware, I’m glad we can fine tune our financial support.

    Why doesn’t the senator support Chuck? It seems to me that republicans in power are always trying to shoot the party in the foot.

    Of course here in CA, name recognition gets votes. People are absolutly clueless about where politicians stand, but for about 30% of the mind numbed robots here, if they recognize the name in a good way, like the Ladies on the View mention it nicely, or the person has been on Oprah, then they check the box. Another 40% just check the “d” no matter what, they’d vote for MJ if his name were on the ballot and there was a “d” next to it, never mind that means deceased. I think wee are lucky if thinking voters make up 20% here.

    They’d risk being able to claim conservatives can’t win in NE and Cali if they ever allowed a conservative be nominated in those regions because a conservative victory would blow their assumptions out of the water!

    Chuck is not very well known. We need someone with more name ID and who is a self funder in CA, an expensive and big state if were gonna win. Fiorina is a millionaire and Poizner is a billionaire.
