This is going to be a fun election. Melancon has tried to play himself off as a conservative Democrat for a while, including opposing cap-and-trade. But his heart just isn’t in that role.

There is a saying in LA : “Cajuns always vote Cajun”. Melancon will pull
the majority of the Cajun vote + minority vote. Staunch conservatives may
very well vote against Vitter because of the prostitute scandal. Throw in
Stormy Daniels (porn star) so the voters don’t forget Vitter’s “indiscretions”,
Unless the GOP does some aggressive campaigning, this seat could be
a win for the Dem.’s

She is inelligible to run as today. She lives in Florida, and she needed to move to LA and register to vote by today, she didn’t! LA has forgiven Vitter. His poll #s are getting better. Melancon is too liberal, if Vitter and the NRSC show how liberal he is, he will lose. AND we will gain his seat!

I write to Charlie almost daily. He only votes FOR Louisiana interests when he receives a dispensation from Nancy Pelosi. He was one of participants on her ‘European Tour’ earlier this year. At most, Charlie is a very pale lavender Dog. We definitely DON’T need him in the Senate.
