I guess Marion Berry (D-AR) does not like being ambushed with easy questions. He has decided to disappear for the month of August and only talk to select groups.

Here is an email from a RedState Gathering attendee:

Marion Berry is hiding from his constituents. I called his office to see when his town hall meetings were going to be, and Emily, the scheduler, said he doesn’t have any meetings planned—when I feigned amazement (I’m not really at all surprised), she said that he was having a few meetings with certain groups.

I guess you guys in Marion Berry’s District are going to have to go to his office to find him.

    Several people suggested, after that delightful “I’d rather be _____ than spending an hour watching the ObamaCare presser”, that I should make contests with winners a regular feature.

    I think I shall do this tomorrow. I’ll consider the best wording and all, but it’ll be something like this:

    Marion Berry (D-Ark) is having no open townhall meetings during the August recess before coming back to DC to vote on ObamaCare. His scheduling office says “he was having a few meetings with certain groups. ”

    Name a group Marion Berry will be meeting with in August.

    I just got the below in my inbox:

    Right after I posted some events, Vic Snyder decides to let people know about a townhall meeting this Wednesday! It’s obvious that he doesn’t want Arkansas voters to to be able to take the time off work to attend. Leftist activist have most likely been given more time to attend and will probably be bused in. We don’t know the format of this townhall meeting or who is sponsoring it or if anybody else besides Snyder will be attending. What we do know, is that this is an event that we need as many people as possible to attend. Here’s the email I got below=

    My guy is only going to have telephone town halls. His folks say that more people can attend that way. Yeah right.

    The CDDC comment makes sense for the Marion Berry who was mayor of DC, but AFAIK it makes no sense for the Arkansas Congressman. Or he did he get busted in a drug deal as well?
