Kathy Castor Event In Tampa Ends With SEIU Pushing Out Voters

Early reports coming in from Florida indicate the hastily scheduled townhall with Kathy Castor ended badly, as predicted, because of SEIU thugs.

The event was conveniently held in a forum where only 250 people could fit. 1000 people showed up. SEIU members were given reserved seating that took up at least half of the 250 seats. As people came in who visibly oppose the Democrats healthcare plan, SEIU members barred access to the room.

According to local media

Some say they were barred because they are against President Barack Obama’s agenda to change the current health insurance system.

Democrat event organizers slammed one senior citizen into the wall as he and his wife tried to enter. The couple were opposed to Obamacare and made it known.

Kathy Castor, for her part, showed up, spoke briefly, then fled the scene claiming it was not really her event.

    I will be blogging later. Was not able to get inside but saw one gentleman who was injured inside. Shirt torn off. Big deep scratch on his chest. Although there were ObamaCare opponents chanting loudly outsde, as far as I could see all violence came from Obamacare supporters. I had my hand slapped violently by a woman who told me to “stop trying to put my finger in her f**ing eye” when I was simply trying to answer her question and my hand with pointed finger was at my waist level by MY body. More later. Have some pics also. Tired ad dehydrated.

    …that all the visible anger would result in demands from moderate Democrats that they return to the drawing board and actually include the GOP. If they force this crap sandwich down our throats they will have defeated themselves. The majority of the American people still value their independence and individuality and will not go quietly into socialism. It seems however that the extreme Left is bound and determined to shove a square peg into a round hole even if it takes a 10 lb sledgehammer. I’m ready for my state to push back hard with the 10th Amendment. I’m even willing to consider secession.
    Federalism is the real solution to this problem as it would allow us all to live as we choose within our own states. When trying to force the entire nation to live according to the values of a minority there’s bound to be constant friction.

    I live in the area and she is my Rep. I was going to attend with my two kids but my family pleaded with me not to go as they believe that Obama supporters will get physical with people who oppose this Gov. Health care plan. Unfortunately they were right though I do hear Kathy Castor is going to have another townhall meeting on Sept 2. at 10:30am kids will be in school and I can attend. I do not see it on a calendar and hopefully it is not canceled as I do think questions should be asked and answered. I wish I could have been there tonight as I know Freedom is not Free and we must make sure our Reps. represent WE the People not special Interest.

    If thugs mess with you, get pictures of them. We can then analyze them later and try to ID the folks.

    You can also take those videos to:

    1) The police.
    2) The local media, and insist they not ignore the story.

    Just saw a UPI report a Fla. talk radio host, Bob Haa, 1450 AM, wwjb am, in Brooksville, is under investigation by the Secret Service for making incendiary comments. Alleged racist comments and threats v Obama. Haa denies wrongdoing, says he was talking about healthcare, not Obama. Says is all rumors.I mention this as a fun example of things to come.

    SEIU shirted thugs abounded and the first several rows of seats were filled (let in another entrance) before the rest of the crowd was let in (several easily identified “pro Health Care extortion” were pulled from line directly behind me and paraded (right before our eyes) in another door.

    The fiasco began with the usual …. an AARP hack went on for 5 minutes about why they were for Health Care Reform but addressed NOTHING in regard to “this particular ‘reform.’” They then had an attendee give the sob story of how HER UNIVERSITY EMPLOYER didn’t give her coverage, but they refused to say what University when it the Question was asked (wonder what State she was shipped in from) nor any answer to why she isn’t out protesting her UNIVERSITY demanding they pay for her coverage. Then Dingbat went into his pre-approved Talking points we’ve seen/heard in YouTube video time after time almost verbatim. Followed by questioned collected from the audience, which of course, meant they all came from the folks they pre-loaded into the front of the room with the predictable repeating of the propaganda points – to which those of us having more knowledge about the Bill than Dingell had NO OPTION but to yell out the Section and Page number that directly refuted their false contention about what they want to lead people into believing the Bill says rather than what it says.

    I spoke on camera with Gibsons’ crew, but who knows if they’ll use any of it or try to distort the context (I tried to be concise to avoid any chance of it, which makes me think they’ll just not use any of it). I also spoke with WJR AM 760 (without whom most would still not have known anything about the event happening as we called into the local shows to report how Dingell’s own website DID NOT advertise the event in order to keep the turnout down to only the SEIU, AARP sellouts, and other cronies), Fox 2 News, and Detroit Public Radio, as well as the Detroit (NOT SO) Free Press. The local ABC station (WXYZ ch 7) didn’t even pretend to care to interview anyone but those with PRO-Socialised Medicine signs and/or Dingbat signs.

    People did shout out questions and responses (including me, as I pointed out each time what page of HIS OWN SPONSORED BILL he was lying in reference to for anyone actually paying attention to review the facts over the BS). There was no other way for the supposed “dialogue” and/or feedback to the Congresscreeper and their intent to ensure it went that way was obvious.

    RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

    SEIU thugs are trying to get people to turn violent. Be forceful in comments, but do not allow them to goad you into violent behavior. You’ll be playing right into their strategy.

    The SEIU shows up and shoving breaks out. All the protesters want is for Castor and others to read the bill and know what they are supporting. And for that they are an “angry mob”? Leave it to union thugs to show up and then demonstrate what an angry mob really is.

    We are educated, thus the dissent at town hall meetings. This administration’s worst enemy is an educated public. I look for even more dumbing down of the school system with reading comprehension the first to fall.
