Democratic National Committee Accuses Eric Cantor of Stoking Nazism

The Democrats just can’t get their talking points right on Eric Cantor (R-VA).

It was only last year when Cantor’s name was mentioned as a possible Vice Presidential pick that the Democrats wanted everyone to know he’s a Jew. They didn’t mention the religion of any of the other potential candidates.

Now, however, they are accusing Eric Cantor, who is Jewish, of fostering Nazism in the United States.

Hari Sevugan of the Democratic National Committee sent out an email earlier today with this:

It’s disgusting that rather than condemning this hate filled symbolism and mob activity, the highest echelons of the Republican party from Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck on down, are encouraging it – and that the likes of Michael Steele and Eric Cantor are fanning the flames of this is reprehensible. The repeated use of Nazi symbolism at community meetings by the Republican incited mob proves that these protests have nothing to do with health care, but rather that the Republican party is willing to sink to the lowest, most despicable levels to accomplish their goal of “breaking” President Obama.

That’s just how desperate the Democrats are — accusing a Jewish Republican of fanning the flames of Nazism and the use of Nazi symbols.

I would have liked to have gotten a comment from Eric Cantor on this, but he is in Israel this week. Ironic.

You know, like so many other minorities that couldn’t possibly have an independent mind and think differently than the pack.

This is sick, but yet I can’t help but laugh at the DNC. This is going to come back around and hit them so hard.

there is a lot of Nazi symbolism at the protests. I mean, there’s pictures..

I don’t see how, no matter how much you dislike the health care proposals, you could compare them to anything Hilter-esque (hence the protests have nothing to do with health care). But maybe I’m wrong and someone can connect the dots for me..

So zip up and get off of my nice, clean website.

To say what I really feel about this idiocy would require language contraindicated by site rules, but I will say that our response should be: “Show us these mythical Nazi symbols, or STFU”.

Not that Democrats have pretty much ever been able to answer a ‘put up or shut up’ challenge in their history of being a party, but.

Maybe their memory is so defective that they’re remembering their OWN use of Nazi symbols to protest Bush. I’m guessing they’re just trying to be disingenuous, though.

It’s pretty obvious they are accusing the mobs of using Nazi symbols in reference to Democrats and Healthcare Reform proponents. They are NOT saying that the mobs are pro-Nazi.

And yes, the swastikas are there. I don’t believe its a majority or even a significant minority of protestors displaying them, but the idiots that are doing it are giving ammunition to Democrats.

Apologies for linking to Media Matters, but:

The repeated use of Nazi symbolism at community meetings by the Republican incited mob proves that these protests have nothing to do with health care, but rather that the Republican party is willing to sink to the lowest, most despicable levels to accomplish their goal of ?breaking? President Obama.

Then I suppose the use of Nazi symbolism during anti-war and anti-Gitmo protests, and calling Bush Hitler really had nothing to do with the war and Gitmo but rather that the Democrat party was willing to sink to the lowest, most despicable levels to accomplish their goal of breaking President Bush.

Why else would they elevate him to co-leader with Rush of the GOP?

  • Robert A. Hahn

What kind of cultural illiterate does not know that someone named “Cantor” is almost certainly Jewish? I guarantee you that ‘Hari Sevugan of the Democratic National Committee’ did not run this one by Rahm Emanuel.

have pictures of protesters carrying signs with swastikas and Obama=Hitler signs been everywhere, but Rush also had a segment on his show about how Obama and Democrats are acting like Nazis. There was even a front-page post on Redstate about how sending emails with health-reform rumors to the White House for fact-checking purposes was just like Nazism.

The Left have been comparing us to Nazis for years.

You will now apologize for thinking that we’re amnesiacs and fools. Next post.

PS: And if you truly know that linking to filthmongers like Media Matters is a bad thing, don’t do it.

have an odd tendency to be Nazi sympathetics. By accusing the “mobs” of displaying Swastikas they were, in effect, calling voting constituents Nazis. Assuming otherwise is disingenuous.

I honestly didn’t think any group could look more leaderless and rudderless than the GOP these days, but the democrats have actually pulled it off. This includes the White House staff, DNC and Democrats in Congress.

definitely for the past 8 years. I found it offensive then and I find it offensive now that some on the right are doing the same. We can call them stupid, we can call them idiots and we can call them socialists but Nazism sinks to a new kind of low. And just cause they did it before doesn’t make it acceptable, we don’t have to sink to that level. The town halls are gonna get heated and boisterous and thats fine, they should, but the Nazi stuff should go.

  • eburke

typical, gun-clinging bitter Jew in their manifestly rational statement that an eeeeeeeeevil Jooooooooooooo is engaged in the promotion of Nazism.

I hope Kenny doesn’t get his feelings hurt.

They’re the ones hiring thugs to attack peaceful protesters, but yet, somehow we’re the despicable and disgusting ones???

Yeah, thanks for trying to distract attention from your SEIU thugs gone awry, but it’s not working, so get your head out of your—I mean, out of the clouds and go read a good book. Personally, I recommend “Liberty and Tyranny” by Mark Levin.
