Tampa Bay Online Radically Alters Its Story

I noted last night the coverage of the Kathy Castor event in Florida. The only video or photographs of violence coming out of that event show Democrat operates shoving and pushing senior citizens opposed to Obamacare.

The original Tampa Bay Online story about the event reflected that. Jon Henke notes the story has now radically changed — having passed through the reporters hands and on to the editor for the morning paper.

No longer does it just recite the facts of the event, but it downplays SEIU involvement, despite the local Democrat party billing the event as hosted by the SEIU, and it inserts a bunch of Democrat talking points irrelevant to the facts on the ground.

This is what we’re dealing with in this fight for freedom.

All the attempts to compare Barack Obama favorably to Abraham Lincoln during the election campaign were ridiculous. Or so i thought at the time. Now, I’m not so sure. Lincoln had a Civil War on his hands, and now it looks like Obama is determined to have one on his hands as well. Great job, Mr. President!

Riddle me this Joker: How do you insure 47 million new patients, including illegals, with no new doctors and say the costs will go down?

at trying to not sound biased… or they really don’t care…

This is a series of photos with captions from the Castor town hall fiasco. Go to the last five photos and read the captions… $5 says you can not do it with a straight face…

that the John Henke article notes in the “See Also” section that “The person delivering the hit is identified as Karen Miracle. I’m guessing she’s the Karen Miracle who is Treasurer of the E. Hillsborough Democratic Club. Her husband, Garry (also pictured), is the Political Director.”

So a Dem (who is not identified as such in the original story) gets caught on camera pushing a guy’s face who is apparently “anti-health care reform”, and the story still makes it sound like Republicans were violent rabble-rousers.

It would be baffling, except it’s what we all expected from the media coverage.

    or they really don?t care?

They’ve hitched their wagon to Obama. They’re all in for him.

    It is what it is.

They turned their back on us in 2008, and this shows that they haven’t turned back to us.

Journalism has gotten so liberal-dominated, that you should presume that any local media outlet is going to lean at least somewhat to the left. The current news anchor in Norfolk wants to eventually anchor the network news out of New York, and today’s city council beat reporter eventually wants to work for the AP. Conservatives need not apply for either of those plum destination jobs, and journalists whose body of work shows any hint of conservative leanings will never get off the farm to see Paree.

Organize, organize, organize. And, figure out ways to get your message out independent of your local media.
