Protesting Obamacare in Macon, GA

Tomorrow at noon in Macon,GA, I’ll be joining Chris Krok from AM 940 and hundreds of concerned citizens from Middle Georgia to protest Obamacare. We’ll gather across the street from Macon’s City Hall located at 700 Poplar Street.

Did you know that under the Democrats’ plan, businesses will get a $4,000 per worker incentive to push people onto government healthcare. (SOURCE)

Likewise, did you know that individuals who leave their current insurer for any reason – whether it be moving to a different state or changing to a different employer – will be forced to purchase a new government-approved private plan or to enroll in the government-run, taxpayer-funded “public option” for their health coverage. (SOURCE)

If you agree with me that this is wrong and government healthcare is a bad idea, come join Chris Krok and me at 12:00 p.m. in Rosa Parks Square across the Macon City Hall in Macon, Georgia on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Unlike a lot of protests, we’re going to hear from real doctors and real people affected by socialized healthcare.

We’ll make sure the politicians know we don’t government bureaucrats weighing our lives in a cost/benefit analysis.

I look forward to seeing you at noon tomorrow in Macon!

I will keep you in thoughts and prayers instead.

Businesses might get a $4000 incentive but will that cover the 2-6% tax they’ll have to pay for not insuring employees? Or the 2.5% tax that individuals will have to pay if they don’t have “acceptable” insurance? (HR3200, pg 150 and pg 167 for the individual tax.)

the 2% or whatever tax the gov’t is going to force on them is actually a lot cheaper than most employers pay for an employees health insurance. So, that’s just another way they plan on forcing everyone into the gov’t system.
