Media Matters Lies. Joe Wilson Told the Truth

The Media Matters guys are out lying today about Joe Wilson.

They are crying to everyone that the Democrats’ health care legislation specifically excludes illegal aliens from health care.

It does.

But only a confused moron like David Brock and his minion would be so vapid and shallow as to take Congress at its word (they never would if it were a Republican plan).

The Democrats have blocked specific Republican attempts to require citizenship verification to get on the government plan. Why? The State Medicaid agencies are given the ability to set eligibility standards for the low income subsidies that will be used for the plan. And they have no incentive not to enroll illegal aliens, particularly since it’s a 100% federal match.

So doctors are not required to verify citizenship because they and the states will get greater allotments the faster the rolls grow. H.R. 3200 claims to block illegal aliens from the plan, but provides incentives to ignore citizenship.

It is like telling a kid that it is against the law to drink, but then specifically not enforcing the law, nor providing any money or manpower to enforce the law.

    I’ve been wondering why the Heller amendment hasn?t been a Republican talking points. It?s not a ?he said she said? thing. Republicans have demonstrable proof.

    Every Republicans who hits the talk show circle should wave a copy of it and demand that Obama get behind it if he meant what he said.

    Section 242 only applies to a specific subsidy and is one section. Section 202 applies to “all individuals” and provides another subsidy and NOWHERE in H.R. 3200 does it say that illegals are illegible to enroll in the exchange or the public plan.

    And there is no verification for the SEC 242 requirements. Republicans tried to implment the Medicaid requirements, but Dems defeated it.

    Tell Obama to support the Heller Amendment.

Gary Peters, as discussed in this Diary Townhall, as basically all other Democrats? Townhalls using the approved Talking Points covered the Illegal Aliens distortion (read: LIE) in the following manner:

    Gary took it one further, and accidentally gave away specifically, the Lie on one of his Slides he showed. The Fact is that Illegal Aliens (non US Citizens, non-Residents) are mentioned several places in the Bill but the key to the Democrat Dodge is in one SUBsection of the Bill dealing with ?AFFORDABILITY CREDITS? that would allow persons to receive Tax Credits for their own PRIVATE COVERAGE? which Democrats DO NOT WANT people to have? it specifically says that ?Illegals shall be excluded from eligibility to receive ?Affordability Credits?? AND THAT IS IT?. The truth is right in the statement Peters showed? it is LIMITED to dealing solely with ?Affordability Credits? and Illegal Aliens WILL BE COVERED BY THE PUBLIC OPTION PLAN and excluded from all others (unless they want to pay for the plans themselves w/o the Credits).

    The Facts/Truth are in the Bill and even the Democrats are showing you the truth while trying to imply it means something beyond what they just showed you and you just read?.. YOU HAVE TO COMPLETELY PARSE THEIR SENTENCES TO FIND THE TRUTH!!!

    One man stands up to the president, and he is forced to apologize. And, as usual, the media demonizes this person and the R so-called “leadership” thows that person under the bus.

    But where is my apology? Where is my apology from my government for calling me a Liar, a Nazi, a Racist, a Terrorist, Un-American, a Mob, a Shill, and more? Why is calling out the president a horrible offense, but when it is done to us it is allowed to slide by? Why are those who are supposed to represent me not standing up for me? Those with the R next to their name (such as McCain) are condemning a (may I say courageous) person of their own party for calling out this president when deserved, but when Pelosi, Reed, etc. say things those things to us, the American people, we hear nothing? There should have been calls for Pelosi and Reed to step down immediately, and there should have been no let-up until it was done. Instead we get nothing.

    And why are we, the American people, not demanding this of those who are supposed to reresent us and our “party”? It has gone on long enough, and we need to start calling out those who will not defend us.

    Just donated $100 to Joe Wilson. I live in upstate NY – - leading the way in political corruption and taxes – - I am happy to support a man who actually stands up for what he believes. He is gratious to apologize for interrupting last night…… while Obama continued to verbally attack those that dare to question his “Health plan”…… (what the hell is his health plan anyway?)

    The only problem with and for Wilson is that more people on the Republican side last night didn’t get up and walk over to stand beside him.

    I’m encouraged, though, because we still have the State of the Union addresses and any forthcoming joint sessions of Congress.

    And it’s time we should. This isn’t an ordinary moment in American history where the rules of genteel partisan diplomacy on the part of Republicans should apply any longer. Wilson has my support and I hope the support of everyone here.

    And John McCain had better start thinking seriously about how he’s wrecking his own political future. His comments today and his call for apology on Wilson’s part were asinine, and he shouldn’t have EVER been this party’s nominee. I hope he never is again.

    You contrast McCain’s finest moment during his acceptance speech, the Churchillian “Stand Up and Fight” moments, where he tried to rally people to his side, with his “Fight! Fight for what’s right for America” talk and then his pitiful and spineless rebuke of Wilson today and you realize that the SOB should never have been the nominee, it was all a game being played in John McCain’s head.

    John McCain is going to have to start to stand up and fight and stop playing the rest of us. He lost any shred of respect I had for him with his statements today.

    of seeing weakness & the out of touch reactions from Republican leaders. Do they think we give a crap whether or not a Democrat president, who is lying through his blanking teeth trashing US & what we hold dear, it treated with 100% respect when that president shows 0% respect to US, the American people?

    Do they think we see the congress & president as some lofty institution far above us? The Democrats, led by President Obama, by lying about us, show no respect for our country, our constitution, or their own institutiion.

    Illegals WILL get taxpayer funded healthcare under HR 3200….

    Either the President:

    a) Hasn’t read the Bill
    b) Is a liar
    c) Knows how the politics will game out while assuming we’re all too stupid to figure out that covering illegals is actually what he wants and what he’ll actually get if HR 3200 becomes law in any iteration
    d) Intends a mass-amnesty within the next 8 months.
    e) All of the above.

    Joe Wilson should apologize. Why? He only choose B) the correct answer is actually E)

    As Ann Coulter pointed out tonight on O’Reilly, the dems twice voted down amendments which would prevent covering healthcare for illegal aliens, so why would we believe HR3200 is going to be different?

    Joe said what should have been supported by every true Republican, no American, in attendance there that night. This liar should be shouted down every time he reads lies off a teleprompter. Why are there no Republicans with a voice except Joe? Who has a gun to their heads. Why does this Usurper with a evil hidden past never get challenged? McCain took the other side, he should change parties, we don’t need his kind. We need old school Republicans that are not afraid of a fight. We need our leaders to be able to draw blood from the enemies of our state. We need Americans that know what America is all about. This ain’t China or the Middle East. This is America and we should all be ready to fight to keep it FREE!

    Joe Wilson’s website is costing him money!!!!
    It REQUIRES you to fill in 3 phone numbers before it will submit your donation….. Many people without work numbers or mobile numbers will just leave after trying to submit…. I used my home phone in all 3 places…
    It would be a shame to lose many donations because of a programming error….
    Anyone who can pass this info along would be doing him a favor…

    And I think it was a great decision. In fact I think most online donation sites for politicians should require multiple forms of identity verification that can be checked, and that’s probably why he did it.

    Look at it this way: he’s protecting you, because he’s making sure that nobody is donating without a lot of information supplied that can be verified. I was glad to see that, actually.
