Don’t Get Sick or Die Quick

[UPDATED by Erick:] The best way to defeat Alan Grayson is to contribute to the NRCC.

Alan Grayson is the Democrat representing Florida’s 8th Congressional District — a Republican district. Alan Grayson sees the writing on the wall. He knows he is going to be out of Congress after 2010, so he’s letting it all ahng out.

Alan Grayson believes the Anti-Defamation League is “a crazy racist institution.”

He also believes the U.S. military is a treasonous organization that will “undermine Obama unless he pursues neoconservative policies.”

He also believes Senator John McCain is a “crazy cancer-ridden dishonest madman.”

And today Alan Grayson took to the floor of the United States House of Representatives to tell us what the Republican health care plan is. According to Grayson, the Republican health care plan is “don’t get sick.” If you do get sick, Grayson says the Republican health care plan is “die quickly.”

More precisely, “If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: DIE QUICKLY. That’s right – the Republicans want you to DIE QUICKLY if you get sick.”

In August, Barack Obama told the nation, including the Democrats, “where we do disagree, let’s disagree over things that are real, not these wild misrepresentations that bear no resemblance to anything that has actually been proposed.”

Guess Grayson didn’t get the memo.

And, if so, who is he, and what’s the link to his online donation site?

This video makes my Visa itch.

write themselves, others are created by the target of the ads.

I suppose he’s just a bitter clinger to a party that used him and then walked away. Kinda like that line from “Blazing Saddles” … “You’re on your own son.”

  • clement

We better have someone to run against this guy. His district went for Bush in 2000 and 2004.

    Just damn.

  • Richard Mullins

it’s more like a TX-18 district than a R+2 district. The same is happening for Dems in Republican leaning districts.

  • Jim

Last week he is grilling a representative from the Federal Reserve in the House banking committee on how many trillions of dollars they shuffled around and wasted in shady backroom deals during all the bailouts, and doing a pretty good job at it.

Now he is in hyper-Democrat partisan mode. But the Democrats don’t need the Republicans on this! They overwhelmingly own the legislative branch! Support is faltering within their own party, yet somehow it is the Rupublican’s fault? I haven’t seen or heard from any prominent Republican leader on healthcare in weeks!

That Florida sun must really mess with your head.

Be a cause for censure, or some breaking of some house decorum rules. From what I see here, “You lie” is pretty tame.

when he revealed the “die quickly” poster… a self-congratulatory smirk.

i imagine he’ll be apologizing before the end of business Thursday.

  • charpaddy

A total JERK!!! Please, please, please let someone run against him. I am so embarrassed to be “represented” by this man.

He is NOT long for Congress…I hope. A total moron who “plays” a representative on TV.

He is the Peter Principle in action. Period. Pardon me while I go puke now.

Joe Wilson has more class in his little finger than this jerk’s entire body. For now, I’m adopting him as my representative.

I have my check book out and want to know who is running against this arrogant sob. Did Webster announce yet or not?

I am so sure the Pelosi and crew will demand he apologize on house floor right?

  • janis

  • proudgop

You’ve been an issue for a while now. Funny how you don’t want to address the issue of a former commenter, isn’t it? I mean, if I were being accused of something I wasn’t guilty of, I’d be responding on the subject promptly and in a way that would lay the issue to rest.

    And yet you don’t…..

  • proudgop

hate insanity…and what you continually recommend – elect an R at any price even if they’re really a Dem and will just make voters think there’s no difference between Rs & Ds – fits the classic definition of insanity: to keep doing what you’ve been doing and expect different results.

Your ‘strategy’ has resulted in getting our collective arses handed to us everytime it’s been tried, 2006 & 2008 just being the latest example.

If the country was yearning for a RINO, we’d be talking about Pres. McCain right now.

    We’re not.

  • janis

would be “Don’t worry about principles, just win at any cost”. That’s what got us where we are today. And we do kinda hate the way you behave, which is irritating, manipulative and deceptive. And we don’t respect your viewpoints, which are seriously skewed in favor of Dem-lites, and we don’t like it when people are gakked but return under another name.

But other than that, you’re just peachy.

  • Richard Mullins

So don’t come back until you come to reality. That way go can see things as they are.

  • janis

She’s quite the obnoxious one and never let it be said that I missed out on an opportunity to say so. :-)

  • penguin2

that we bid you adieu. It is because either you are from the other side and have not been honest with us, or you are a malcontent within our own party. At this point, it really does not matter which you are. The end result is the same. You are not interested in promoting conservative candidates and causes. If you hadwanted any different outcome, you would have made an effort to change. I hope you have gathered all the information you could, perhaps it will help you on other sites.

  • Martin Knight

You have to defend yourself and your ideas – it’s that simple.

Your comments all seem to support the belief that the GOP should unquestionably support anyone with an R even if he will go on to vote with Democrats 100% of the time once in office so long as the consultants, pundits and chattering class twits in DC think he/she is “electable”.

This is what led to the drubbing in 2006 and 2008 – running Chaffees, Leaches and Gilchrests who constantly blurred the differences between the parties and sabotaged any efforts of the GOP to actually enact policy in the name “comity” and “bipartisanship”.

You’ve also been moaning about how much you hate Primaries and cheerleading the current Cornyn-led NRSC’s policy of selecting candidates from Washington DC – which leads one to question whether or not you’re objecting because of the fact that “moderates” i.e. Republicans who might as well be Democrats tend to get weeded out in well-contested primaries.

The real issue is that your positions are without merit, and when called upon to defend them to show that they do have merit, you start whining (like a lefty) about how people must “hate” you.

Perhaps you should consider that if your positions are so indefensible, that they are, frankly, wrong?

We don?t have to invent a new medical term for the disease Grayson is suffering from. It?s called Non Compas Mentis.

Hyporbole! But this is getting the dems nowhere. New poll numbers show a new high disapproval numbers of the public option and this was acknowledged by the democrat majority finance committee who overwhelmingly voted against the public option inclusionn in the bill. It’s time the dems stop denying that the public has spoken and listen. Their own party is saying this.
