BREAKING: World Rejects Barack Obama. No Chicago Olympics

Hey Rush, apparently the rest of the world wants Obama to fail too.

Hahahahaha.

I thought the world would love us more now that Bush was gone.

I thought if we whored ourselves out to our enemies, great things would happen.

Apparently not.

So Obama’s pimped us to every two bit thug and dictator in the world, made promises to half the Olympic committee, and they did not even kiss him.

So much for improving America’s standing in the world, Barry O.

Maybe now perhaps we can hope he will mature a bit on the issues of foreign affairs. But I doubt it.

BTW, Dear Barack Obama, you are no Billy Mays.

Gone 2500 years, still not PC.

To All Those Celebrating Chicago's Loss

luckyerik Friday, October 2nd at 2:33PM EDT (link)

This is what you’ve come to, celebrating an American city lost bid for the Olympics? You’re cheering against the United States? That’s what your doing.

Your all and incredibly pathetic, un-American bunch of whiners but at least I’m glad to see that your finally developing some interest in another country. Brazil is a great country.

The reasons for the decision probably don’t have anything to do with President Obama.

Last week you were freaking out because some school kids in New Jersey were signing the Presidents praises (which a little digging would probably uncover that its been done with every president, we know that it was done for GW Bush). Now you’re cheering against the Unites States getting the premier international event.

You’ve turn into fools.

At least Chicago will get to host another huge victory party in 2012 when Barack gets re-elected.

You probably won't be here long enough to read this.

NightTwister Friday, October 2nd at 2:41PM EDT (link)

But here goes anyway.

1. We’re cheering against Obama. Hosting the Olympics doesn’t do anything for the U.S.

2. I’m glad Brazil got the nod. Now maybe they can get busy and mind their own business and stay out of Honduras’ business.

3. It has everything to do with getting people to realize that Obama isn’t the promised Messiah so many people thought he was.

4a. Children singing songs worshipping a man will always disturb me. Especially when it is promoted by a government entity. Separation of Church and State, anyone?

4b. There’s nothing premier about hosting the Olympics. Having our athletes kick butt is what’s premier.

5. Better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt (such as you have here).

6. He’ll probably actually have to achieve something by then for that to happen. The jury is still out.

What has Obama done to deserve re-election?

Tbone Friday, October 2nd at 4:07PM EDT (link)

Everything he has done domestically has failed just look at the new unemployment figures. He can’t even close Gitmo. Osama still lives and we are still in Iraq and our NATO allies are giving him the finger on Afghanistan. Even with full MSM support, his appointments keep having to withdraw or resign. He has become a laughingstock because he can’t even give a two-minute speech without his Teleprompter. His ineptness is being mocked in the European press.

Obamacare is DOA and by this time next year there will be a single congressional or senatorial candidate who will be mentioning his name on the stump. In that he can’t get any of his agenda passed now he certainly won’t be will begin in the past in his last t three years. Just nine months into his presidency he has already become a lame duck. His legacy as a one term president will be that of misguided buffoonery at best and outright treason upon impartial examination.

Envisioning when all that is Left is the Right.

Xasteius Friday, October 2nd at 12:16PM EDT (link)

Being taken down in such a public way…well, frankly, I feel some pity for him: I’ve had to learn some humility in that manner too (though not in so public forum).

His international humiliation will embolden opposition to his domestic agenda, which is trashing this great country. If I were him, I would get on TV and basically “I messed up, forgive me,” and like King Manasseh of Judah, attempt to right the wrongs he has done to the country

Will he? Given his past behavior, I would not count on it, but I’ve always been an optimist.

If he does not, the right and the Republican leadership need to capitalize on this opportunity, and drive his domestic agenda into the ground. Yet I fear that he will grow more peevish, repressive, and determined to have his way at home now that he has been rebuffed abroad.

Don’t leave the party, hijack it back!

Ever see a spoiled 2 year old throw a fit in a toy store? Painful for all within earshot.

I thought the dynamic duo of Michelle sacrificing her personal tear jerking story about her dead Daddy’s dream to see the Olympics in his home town and Obama’s assertion that a Chicago Olympics would be almost as glorious as his winning the Democratic nomination that crisp November day was supposed to be magic. Apparently we (at Redstate, at least) aren’t the only people who know a sham when they see one.

Sorry Oprah had to be part of it, though. I don’t think she’ll be sharing the stage with the Obama’s any more.

With the Healthcare debate at a critical point, Cap and Trade trying to get a toe-hold in the Senate, an unstable Iraq, Iran getting nukes, and a declining Afghanistan, Obama goes all in on the Olympics. BOOM. Out in the first round.

How much prestige did he just lose? His poll numbers will drop, and his instinct will be to go on TV to push Healthcare. Since Obama fatigue is more prevalent than H1N1, this will just make things worse. Couldn’t happen to a nicer fraud.

He’s done nothing but apologize to the world at every international event he’s attended for American greatness, casting it as arrogance, leadership, casting it as oppresion, saying nothing about the good America has done for the world. Why, after all that, would the IOC want to come here, especially if Obama might still be president while the games are going on?

GW was doing a radio show here in DFW with a sports guy a couple of weeks ago. The host asked GW what his favorite moment was while President. GW said it was throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium after 9-11. He was sure to emphasize that in crossed the plate. Now, you tell me, who’s thinking only of themselves. After serving the US as President for 8 years the moment that sticks with him is throwing a ball across a plate. Nothing about serving the country or saving lives or freeing nations. It’s all about him tossing a baseball over a piece of plastic. If only he had pursued his true calling then we wouldn’t be stuck in the mess we’re in.

What is really funny

Jack_Savage Friday, October 2nd at 4:25PM EDT (link)

Is that Obama can’t even say THAT.

And by the way, having President Bush fire one across the plate in the days after 9/11, in NYC, in front of the world, was a pretty good memory for me. It said to the world that while our enemies cower in caves, we carry on.

Thanks for reminding me that we once had a real man in the White House, and it wasn’t so long ago. Can’t wait till we can say that again.

Oh, by the way, goodbye.

He was interviewed by a "sports guy"

throwback59 Friday, October 2nd at 4:35PM EDT (link)

of course he is going to give a sports related answer. And at least Bush could say that he was ” serving the country or saving lives or freeing nations.” Unlike zero.

Well, let's compare and contrast...

discerningconservative Friday, October 2nd at 4:48PM EDT (link)

President Bush’s first pitch at Yankee Stadium right after 9/11/01 was a great moment as our entire country stood up and showed our enemies around the world that we wouldn’t cower in fear.

President Obama on the other hand not only didn’t get it ACROSS the plate, he didn’t get it TO the plate.

Our current President thinks he’s Jesus, acts more like Moses, and throws like Mary.

to protest against the war, where her son gave his life, President Bush said something to the effect of the “Isn’t the first Amendment great.” In fact, if it wasn’t all the lies and poison that the MSM media poured out for eight years, we would not have the current Congress and President we do have.

And sorry I can’t lay claim to “noted Constitutional scholar” but there are a number of highly respected lawyers on this site, who probably can.

financially sound and a real net plus to the country/state/locality where it was held. And that would be Salt Lake City. Which was run - coincidentally - by Mitt Romney.

And as far as people for whom a real case for treason can be made, look at John Kerry and Ted Kennedy.

And even that was only after significant corruption had been exposed.

I wish the sources were a bit more reliable, but I only felt like doing a very quick search on Google.

We’ve been called racists enough now that it shouldn’t bother us any more.

If NY23 was a beat down for Conservatives, what do you call what happened to Progressives in NJ and VA?

I know it feels weird to think you're rooting for America

Jack_Savage Saturday, October 3rd at 8:18PM EDT (link)

When instead you have your head up Obama’s posterior. The first thing to do, really, is to learn the difference.

For instance, when our troops are at war, and your side voted for it then pulled the rug from under them. That’s a really good example of not rooting for America, to say the least. Traitorious, to say the most.

Again, learn the difference.

Please stop responding: I’m already gone, and wasting your time was my goal.

America Loses Olympics: Why is that good?

jimcap Tuesday, October 6th at 9:29PM EDT (link)

This is where I part company with some of my fellow conservatives.

I don’t like this particular president but this wasn’t just about him. I like the idea of America hosting the Olympics. It’s a good thing. It brings jobs; it brings prestige; it brings international recognition. We can’t take our world leadership position for granted. Events like this remind people of the glory of America. Who cares who is president when these games take place?

Look at all the positive media coverage China got last year from the Olympics. And they’re a communist totalitarian state! This would have been good for America, as it was in ‘84 under Reagan (my hero) and under Clinton (who I hated) in ‘96.

I can’t believe that some conservatives are actually CELEBRATING that the Olympic Games will NOT be coming to the United States of America!?!?!?

It’s disappointing. I think our country has to come first, regardless. I’m rooting for America always, especially when the competition is socialist states like Brazil and Spain.

It’s crazy. I don’t get it.

For those who dismiss the economic significance of hosting the Olympics, consider Atlanta’s development during the past 13 years. Since the 1996 Olympics, the number of international companies with branches in Greater Atlanta doubled to surpass 2,200, according to Global Atlanta, the region’s international business news journal.

My country first, always. Sorry, guys.

Nice try, but you are wrong, wrong, wrong (assuming you are here in good faith)

Jack_Savage Tuesday, October 6th at 9:35PM EDT (link)

America did not lose the Olympics. Barack Obama lost the Olympics. It appears it was a done deal before the messiah showed up with his giggling consorts.

I am celebrating the fact that someone on the planet was able to see through the manure-caked veneer that covers this president. I also think it was a good decision to not give Chicago the chance to host the most corrupt games in Olympic history.

I agree that country must come first. That’s why I will always oppose Obama.

See what I mean

jimcap Wednesday, October 7th at 1:02PM EDT (link)

Jack, you can’t let your hatred of Obama make you root against our own country. That’s crazy.

The USOC started planning the strategy for the 2016 games, long before Obama was elected. It had zilch to do with him. And even if it did, our country has to come first.

By your logic, you should love it when other nations beat us at everything, provided there’s a liberal in the White House.

No one, and nothing, will EVER get me to root against the United States of America! Conservative or liberal or anything else!

Country first. Now, let’s go get the 2020 Olympics here in the USA!

Ever notice how Presidents alway do the Photo-Ops

with Olympic athletes AFTER they win the gold?

Same deal here.

But I guess if you think you make the sun shine, it’s hard to just bask in someone else’s afterglow.

Oh yes, country must come first

Jack_Savage Thursday, October 8th at 10:40PM EDT (link)

Again, that is why, at every opportunity, I will oppose Barack Obama.

If you think that the Chicago olympics would have benfitted anyone but union thugs, ACORN criminals and mobsters, you are living in a dream world. If you think that is what America is all about, I guess that is up to you.

Barack Obama made it all about him, instead of making it all about America. Take a look at the number of times he and Michelle used “I” or “me” in their little speeches.

You are way, way off base here, but I am sure that is on purpose. Very odd that you sign up just to post on this. Very odd.

America lost the Olympics!!! Hooray!!!

jimcap Wednesday, October 7th at 12:57PM EDT (link)

I don’t like Obama either, but my country comes first. I would have loved to see the USA win the Olympics. Much better to have it here, in OUR country, rather than some backward socialist state like Brazil.

I just don’t see where this would make any real conservatives happy. I don’t like Barry O either, but not to the point of rooting against the land I live in. Let’s not be nuts about this, guys.

Yawn.

randy streu Wednesday, October 7th at 1:02PM EDT (link)

Look, the point is, we didn’t NEED the Olympics; we’ve hosted them recently, and this was basically NOT about the US of good ole A. This was about Chicago, and more importantly, Obama.

This is about his hubris in believing that the whole wide world wants to kiss his a$$ — all the while running down our country — and then being unceremoniously shown the door.

I just don’t see this as a big loss for our country. Seriously. And this whole tired line coming right out of the liberal handbook — yes, I know you keep going on about how you don’t like Obama, etc, and so on and so forth — is a load of crap created to make THEM feel less guilty about wanting our country to LOSE A WAR.

Because, they, of course, don’t see the difference. Do you?
