But I guarantee you that nobody I know would have. It’s a pay to play town where almost every cost estimate is 20% of what it really costs the tax payers. I would have loved to see the Olympics in my home town but not at any cost. Whatever our policriminals tell you, they are lying. They will stick it to us when we aren’t looking. That’s how Chicago Politics work. Look at my right hand but don’t pay attention to the left.

So, Hurray that our President came through for us! You saved us quite a bit of money and hassle. Oh, and don’t forget the parking!

I know how it is. I’ve been unemployed for 2 years now and I was forced to start my own freelance company designing graphics for people who are broke. It’s getting worse, clients are cutting back and my nest egg is gone. But let me assure you, there is money to be made out there. Just think creatively and don’t let your guts discourage you. I’m working on something right now that may turn my luck and it has everything to do with this administration. It’s do or die time.

To clarify, I’ve been a print Designer and Illustrator for over 14 years. I’m trying to get into the web industry by learning html etc., but it’s the worst time because the market is flooded with people who have lost jobs and have lots of web experience. That makes it tough to compete.
