…I used to always think that my 3G coverage with T-Mobile was awful…

    …then I saw AT&T’s map, and I felt a little better.

Still not trading in my G1 for anything currently out, though, even if I will use my iPod Touch for web browsing when I have WiFi available (let’s face it, Mobile Safari is very snappy).

yeah I know the source, it was posted in hotair’s headlines yesterday I think. They originally claimed Rove supported Kay Bailey, and then later changed their article noting that he did not support KBH. Are you sure about this? Here is the link:

    http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/10/05/2089960.aspx

“Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly reported a Rove donation to Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison’s Texas gubernatorial campaign. Rove has not given Hutchison any money. It was simply an incorrect fact that should not have been included. “

The G1 is what data phones were meant to be. We still don’t have 3G here, but Edge works good enough for now. The G1 has the Safari browser too.

RedState should definitely endorse him. He will be a great representative for FL-12. He should win this seat, but it is by no means a lock.

and read the article about John Sharp. Very well written. It’s true–don’t mess with Texas.

and I concur with every word. BTW, the do have a poll right now on which Democrat do want gone in 2010. The choices are Lloyd Doggett, Ciro Rodriguez,Chet Edwards and Gene Green. At first my hatred for Ciro D Rodriguez knows no bounds. I’m really Quico Canseco is running again for TX-23. Now that my parents moved into TX-25, Doggett has 2 more votes against him.

This is just another statewide election he will lose.

beholden to the leftists in the Democratic Party of Texas. For years, he seemed not to be as leftist as other Dems in Statewide office. I always thought of him as a moderate but now he seems to have become a leftist. I guess I pull for Bill White to win the Democrat nomination for senate now.

I thought you may have mentioned it in the links because of Beck’s 912Moms panelBarbara Curtis formed a 912Moms group MommyLife.Net and uses the Flying Geese analogy (sorry, quick/cursory search didn’t turn up a link for me to provide nor do I remember now all of what she said). Part of her point of the analogy being We Help Lift Each Other, as in the updrafts of the Geese flight story…. I’d like to share an email I sent to her about an additional thought she can add to her little pep-speech:

Additional Geese Fact that is appropriate analogy…

The Geese change off, from time to time, the Lead Goose, in order to allow them to conserve energy and go longer as a group (in conjunction with the Fact about the V-formation up-draft)…

Mom’s can Honk (encouragement) to each other to support the whole without having to expend the Leads energy and further extend the groups message/range via trading the Lead role at times (Ego’s must be left at Home)!

While we lift each other up and raise a larger and larger voice, not everyone has to be at all events and those bearing that burden (time, energy, expense) of organization/leadership can be traded off in the name of saving energy and they cannot continue to peg the movements solely as Astroturf or destroy it by having only a small number of people to attempt to smear to discredit the movements.

I had to laugh when I saw Kansas City Star calling Rush a “Shock Jock” lol….

The franchise worth would jump by another 50 Million immediately after purchase just for Merchandising alone…. All the folks buying a Rams Jersey with #1 and “Limbaugh” on the back.

  • SteveLA

Move them back to LA where they came from, sorry St. Louis fans….LOL.

We’ll even build you a new stadium in Chavez Ravine or out in Irwindale, but we won’t hire Jerry Jones as a consultant….:)

You were supposed to get a UFL (http://www.ufl-football.com/) franchise, but they barely survived to have 4 teams to survive this bad economy and start this season this coming Thurs. Oct 8…. And I take it your not a AFL: LA Avengers (suspended operations) fan?!?!

Rush used to work for the Royals, yes? And if the NHL Blues owner is involved the likelihood it is going anywhere anytime soon in unlikely.

  • SteveLA

Jacksonville is probably going to move first. Their attendance is in the dump from what I was reading the other day.

But the problem with LA, we’re stupid out here, but not so stupid as to vote for public funds to build a Jerry Jones football palace.

    There’s three options

Coliseum….really bad part of town and no parking
    Irwindale…have you ever been there…WOOF
Chavez Ravine in the Dodgers parking lot
    Staples Center area

I look for someone to force the issue in the next couple of years, and would like to see a team back in LA….Al Davis can stay put with the rest of the Thugs in Oakland…thank you very much.

I’ve been by it but not in it…. LA Coliseum…. and since I’m not an LA (let alone CA) resident, it is not for me to say (but I will anyway) that I like it for nostalgic/sentimental/historic reasons and hate to see it rot. Certainly no-one can say it isn’t big enough of a venue to house modern NFL, though it may need some amenity adjustments (hopefully, very carefully done to not ruin it – big HD-boards should be placed to not be seen from outside the Stadium changing its historic profile – if recent improvements section here isn’t good enough)!

  • SteveLA

Whole area around the LA Coliseum is a pit, really needs redevelopment. NFL is now is as much about before and after the game as an entertainment zone, that area is a shooting zone.

I was there last time for the Olympics back in the 80′s. Lots of history but the NFL is a business.

  • Richard Mullins

when the Oilers moved to Nashville and we got awarded an expansion team, we built a stadium that’s next to the Astrodome(well Harris County Domed Stadium), Reliant Stadium. It’s not as expensive as Cowboys Stadium(Houston Chronicle had a comparison to it and Reliant Stadium). You can pick any place that can get you traffic, but remember that of the teams that have moved, none have that have gotten new owners have moved them back to cities that the teams came from.

Need more around to be attractive …. Nothing to build attractions in area for!

I understand what you are saying and the NFL doesn’t, frankly, have enough events with a short number of games at any venue, to help bring enough money into the area to help FEED an economic boost that would help to bring back the area.

It seems the venue is just the equivalent of being a Park, or should I say over-sized Statue in a Park, and space placeholder. Such a shame.

What would be enough?!?! A UFL and NFL franchise (10-15 events a year?), a minor league baseball team (25+ games) would be helpful, Soccer (??), etc… !?!?!? The Catch-22 continues…. But hey, Stadiums amongst the WAR ZONE disaster areas in Detroit manage ;-) … guess that really should be a :( face.

  • SteveLA

The biggest problem is going to be that no way no how will the Tax payers out here in LA vote for a bond to pay for a new stadium, private money only.

The real hang up is a local LA council member, Ridley Thomas who represents that area and gums up the works for anything that is not in his district where the LA Coliseum sits.

My vote is ether near Staples or up in Chavez Ravine, but fix public transportation so I can metro rail into the games.
