DSCC beats GOP for third consecutive fundraising quarter — OPEN THREAD

Maybe if the NRSC wasn’t so busy wading into contested primaries in efforts to push the conservatives out, people would give them more money.

Until then we should expect to keep seeing this headline.

Consider this an open thread.

Are we supposed to be surprised that the DSCC beat the NRSC in fund-raising? Of *course* the DSCC beat them in fund-raising! – They’re the committee for the ‘party in power’!!

The surprise is when committees for the ‘party out of power’ beat the committees of the ‘party in power’. Or even keep it pretty close (which, actually, from Moe’s posts, the NRCC *has* managed to do!).

(Note: This should in no way be seen as any sort of apologia for the NRSC, which I personally despise. It’s just pointing out that no conclusions can be draw about the DSCC beating the NRSC save that the former represents the ‘party in power’…)

Can’t believe I’m the only one.

Hmmm… Maybe the Stimulus (aka Taxpayer money that will be given to organizations and then used to support relection of Democrats) IS working!

Maybe they should change their name to the

    Nitwits and RINOs Stupid Committee

I don’t trust Washington Republicans with my money any more than I trust Washington Democrats with it. I give money to good Conservative candidates directly, I dont give it to committees that like to actively oppose Conservatives and promote liberals, just because the liberal has an R in front of their name. Let the liberal Republicans give to the NRSC, thats really who they represent anyway. I’ll give my contributions directly to the candidates who are the real deal.

I give it straight to my Senate candidate of choice.

D’ya think the lack of funds has anything to do with the Crist/Rubio thing?

I don’t care two whits about who is “out of power” but I’ll tell you straight up that they (the Cornyn Committee) have NO standing with me.

I lick the envelope after enclosing a note reminding them of their sins, zero postage, zero contribution.

The NRSC is dead to me.

I am at about $0 this cycle, and waiting for rational, electable conservatives to show up.
Let me know when they get here.

Pat Toomey, former President of the Club for Growth, nearly unseated Arlen Specter in the 2004 Senate Primary, running again, and scared Specter out of the Republican party. Currently leads Specter or is down by no more than 3 points. http://www.toomeyforsenate.com/site/c.nkLVJ6MMKrH/b.5302129/k.953F/The_Official_Campaign_Website_for_Pat_Toomey_for_US_Senate.htm -Toomey’s site

Michael Williams, elected statewide in Texas 3 times, Conservative, African-American, endorsed by Newt Gingrich. Running in the specail election for the Senate seat KBH will give up to run for Governor http://www.williamsfortexas.com/

Jane Norton, candidate for Senate against Michael Bennett in Colorado. Former Lt. Gov, raised $500,000 in 16 days. Leads Bennet by 9 pts. http://janenortonforcolorado.com/

Kelly Ayotte, former NH AG, running in open seat to replace Judd Gregg (R) fought to the supreme court for her pro-life views, and outraised her opponent, liberal Rep. Paul Hodes in the 3rd quarter. Leads Hodes in all polls. http://www.ayotteforsenate.com/

Marco Rubio, former Fl. State House Speaker. Gaining fast on Gov. Charlie Crist in the primary for the open seat. He leads Rep. Kendrick Meek in the polls. http://www.marcorubio.com/

Thats just a few challengers. You want me to list some more, for the house and some Senate incumbents? If you can not find a good, electable conservative, not 1, then you are looking with your eyes closed and hands tied behind your back

There should be DAILY pickets ongoing outside the local Maine offices of SNOWE and COLLINS — is that happening?!?!?
