It is getting pretty frustrating not being heard and just ignored.. I hope between him and Michelle Bachmann’s bit on O’Reilly last night that at least enough have heard to get to DC on November 5th to protest the socialist’s take over of our county.

I have job and can’t go. But I support those who are trying to protect our freedoms.

As much as I like Boehner, the only people that will see this message are the ones looking for it. I’d like to see the GOP buy some air time on major networks and get some one like Dement to deliver it.

Why else would they e.g. run a 70+ year old man against a rock star in rock-star dazzled America?

The W. Bush Administration was a disaster in “getting the message out,” and it always seemed to me that they were almost afraid to stand up and deliver the message, that they could not handle the lies and calumnies that would be thrown at them, that it was better to be silent than let the falsehoods arise and be spread by the debating process.

The lies arose anyway, despite their silence: “Bush LIED! People DIED!”

I understand that getting the message out costs money, and that a risk of “campaign fatigue” is always there. But silence in a debate will not work! You must present your position!

The incompetence of the GOP establishment is disturbing, and does not augur well for our future. This is why the RedState campaign to reinvigorate the Republican Party from the ground up is very important.

The Republicans have had a health-care plan all along but some just dont want to hear it. John Boehner has been doing a good job fighting off the socialistas in DC and I’m proud to stand with him. It seems to me that so far Nancy Pelosi and H. Reid have gotten maybe 6 votes , total!, so far this year from Republicans.
Like my old Squadron Motto says….Lead, follow or get the hell outta the way!!

Their refusal to confront the lies thrown at them seemed to be a combination of fear, lack of intelligence, and laziness. And it runs against the mantra of “Bush kept us safe.” We’re in the direst peril now domestically, and many of Bush’s security measures are being dismantled, because of the political train wreck he passively allowed to happen. And even now he, his father and his wife are engaged in a flattery campaign against Obama. How could a “great protector” be so indifferent to the continuity of his own policies?

The GOP is topheavy with them…Pawlenty…Romney…most Republican senators…

While I agree with everything Boehner said, this is too little too late.

Republicans have not spoken with one voice and are viewed by many voters as simply obfuscaters of anything the Dems come out with.

We need someone with more charisma to be the spokesperson of the GOP views on healthcare.

At this point, I can only hope the greed of the Dems goes unchecked and they start throwing everything but the kitchen sink into these bills until it becomes obvious to the American people that we all need to shut them down and start over with sensible solutions like Boehner suggests.

Therefore, he will be either ignored or savaged by the dinosaur media talking heads. Accordingly. the masses of willfully ignorant sheep will either not hear his message, or will believe the media spin.

Liberalism has done a masterful job, over the last 45+ years, of killing off education and turning large numbers of Americans into permanently ignorant entitlement leeches. Thank you, Great Society.

I think about O making that comment and the audience laughing thinking it was so cute. Why didn’t the GOP jump all over this? It is apparent that democrats are making light of this term to make it palitable for Americans. We need GOP’rs that will call a spade a spade as Reagan did. Where are they?

  • harlan

    I wasn’t inspired.

In order to combat the dishonest democrats, the soros types, AND the gargantuan state-run media, republicans must appeal to the hearts (not just the minds) of the American people.

And they’re a little late to the rally. Too little, too late.

We all know there are problems with even the best of programs, including the best healthcare system in the world, the one we have in America. I have followed such matters somewhat closely for decades, but perhaps someone can enlighten me about serious Republican efforts to be in the forefront of efforts to implement some kind of meaningful and reasonable tweaking of the healthcare system on their own initiative so as to cut the Dems off at the pass.

We know the liberals, socialists and Marxists in the Democrat party have been demagoging this issue for years for reasons having nothing to do with improving the healthcare system, and given the opportunity which, thanks to Republican complacency and incompetency they now have, would implement a draconian plan of the kind we currently face.

I assume the GOP has had healthcare reform plans lingering about from time to time, but isn?t it part of the problem that they have never done anything to seriously and vigorously to promote them? GOP leadership should have seen this shipwreck coming and done something, at least symbolically, to avert it. But no. The Republicans have allowed the Democrats to make it their signature issue. They beat back Hillarycare in 1992 and then went to sleep, other than to create another entitlement program involving prescription drugs, which earned them no points in the government run news media.

Leader Boehner says the Republicans have had a plan since last June, but it is the Democrat strategists who have seemingly forever effectively trumpeted their ruinous schemes, and the Republicans who have been left sounding like the cruel, heartless party of no. Under George Bush they had an opportunity, even if it failed, to at least appear to be interested and to seize the initiative.

It seems like the only time the Republicans make an issue of tort reform and the rest of their fragmentary responses is when their backs are to the wall and they have to come up with something.

Please, someone, show me where I am wrong on this. The above comment, “Liberalism has done a masterful job, over the last 45+ years, of killing off education and turning large numbers of Americans into permanently ignorant entitlement leeches. Thank you, Great Society” is certainly very true, but that being a given, what has the opposition done about it? And don?t just complain about the cards we have been dealt and blame the government controlled news media for blacking out noble Republican efforts to expose the leeches and to show an interest in solutions to problems we all agree are in need of attention. The gutless and clueless leadership of the Republican Party has shown its capacity to encourage the leeches and be content with just riding the tide to the destruction of our endangered Republic.
