Contra the empty RNC phone bank room from below, Ben Smith is reporting that the RNC has made 140,000 calls into NY-23 since Sunday for Hoffman.
Good.
UPDATE: On a 4:30 conference call, the Hoffman campaign is downright mocking at the idea the RNC has helped them on the ground.

Not that I'm cynical...
malbis Tuesday, November 3rd at 1:40PM EST (link)…but *saying* that they’ve made 140,000 calls on behalf of Hoffman since Sunday, and *making* 140,000 calls on behalf of Hoffman are two different things.
If I *were* cynical, I’d be inclined to fall back on the one-picture-is-worth-1,000-words chestnut — or in this case, 140,000 words.
Nice though, that now that Hoffman seems very likely to win in what is going to be one of the most significant pre-2010 election wins, they want to make sure they get some of the credit for the win.
;->
I think if Erick's repeating this there's probably something to it
Neil Stevens Tuesday, November 3rd at 1:42PM EST (link)I wouldn’t look for excuses to rail on the party today of all days.
Want to run for conservatives? Give.
There Is No Crisis
Count me with the cynics
Sundayjack Tuesday, November 3rd at 3:16PM EST (link)Is that 140,000 robo-apologies?
RNC
ktsub Tuesday, November 3rd at 2:41PM EST (link)We cannot take the RNC as an enemy. We have to treat them as a friend, we are PULLING along. The Democrats are the enemy, if they win, we loose…if the GOP wins, we PULL them along…
Oy...
stixxxnstones Tuesday, November 3rd at 2:54PM EST (link)Ben Smith does not report, however, whether they were robo-calls or volunteer-based calls. There is a difference, and it’s about a 30% effectiveness rate.
140,000 calls is good, but you have to know that computer calls are simply a matter of money, not effort. The volunteers are all in Jersey.
That said, I don’t mind that either
As long as they’re out there, supporting the most conservative candidate that can win, I’m solid.
