Where We Stand on Health Care

Go here to contact your Congressman. Tell ‘em all to vote no.

Here’s where we stand as the sun rises this morning.

Democrats are still short votes by double digits.

Four Democrats from Virginia are “No” votes because of Tuesday night’s elections.

The American Medical Association is in deep trouble. The AMA endorsed the House bill. The state societies claim that they have the votes to win a resolution at the AMA conference, which begins tomorrow, forcing the AMA to rescind its endorsement if it doesn’t do so before the AMA meets.

Blue Dogs had dinner at the White House last night. We’ll see how many flip to Obama’s side. And we’ll keep track of them.

It’s a complete list of Blue Dogs with “Voting study - Party Unity” information. Very, very handy indeed.

One question: how do Blue Dogs with 90% or higher get into the Blue Dog Coalition? Do they have no standards? Just by saying, “Hey, can I fool my constituents some more and say I’m a Blue Dog - I’ll join your coalition”?

Loretta Sanchez a Blue Dog? Hah! She’s one of the biggest libs in California. Evidently a pretty good liar too, as this information proves. Ya gotta be a pretty good liar to get elected in Orange County if you’re a Dem. Even though her district is full of new immigrants, they are still a pretty conservative/religious group.

Anyway, I digress …

Yeah, yeah, I know. That’s why they’re Democrats.

Blue Dogs are nothing more than Yellow Dogs holding their breath trying to get their way. To which I’ll add, once they pass out they become Lap Dogs.

If you’re in MA, call Lynch. He’s our pro-lifer.
Call Tsongas - she’ll never find another job.
Call McGovern and tell him to dust off his resume.
Call Capuano - he doesn’t get elected or reelected.
Call the rest and just do raspberries when they say they support it.

Call Kerry’s offices b/c they hate answering the phone.
Call Kirk’s offices b/c they all need to brush up on their customer service skills.

Save Barney for last - just laugh back when they laugh at you.

Then go volunteer at Scott Brown’s office. Keep the 60th seat out of their hands. Imagine the reaction of Obama’s crew if we take the Kennedy seat for a Republican.

Whitehouse Gibbs says the republican health care plan is ” just old idea’s”. What the hell does he think Socialism is?.
We are told that congress will push through health care regardless of the public outcry over further debt passed on to our children. My god the president and congress act as though health care is a inalienable right. Does the congress along with the president fantasize that this is the Emancipation Proclamation number two. The difference is the defense of a Natural Right as opposed to a government produced entitlement. I would suggest congress and the president get out of fantasy land.

Mr President you are not Abraham Lincoln with a mandate. He worked to led the country to a higher calling based on individual freedom your crowd works to divide it for special interests and governmental control. He fought for natural rights you fight for the expansion of the welfare state enslaving all. Save your reputation and move to the center leave the socialist agenda it has never worked for long. You believe your mark in history will be “the man who brought health care to all” I would predict that you and the congressional members that support this travesty will be thrown out of office next election. History will say ” the day free Americans finally saw the enemy and threw out the seeds of socialism and that was the turning point to recapture our country and maintained our freedom”.

Historically centralized planning has never worked over time and has never worked for men who respect freedom and the individual. As free men and women we know this bill is not rational legislation.

So Mr. president don’t over estimate your own importance. Recognize when you are wrong and become a great American president ( like Lincoln ) who freed the people not enslaved them with large governmental bureaucracy.

Richard Rumbold.”I may say this is a deluded generation, veiled with ignorance, that though popery and slavery be riding in upon them, do not perceive it; though I am sure there was no man born marked of God above another, for none comes into the world with a saddle on his back, neither any booted and spurred to ride him.”

ABSOLUTE RIGHT ON

whle we’re at it, can we rid the nation of Jay Rockefeller the treasonous fascist elite who leaks like a sieve when it comes to national security. That whole family should move to Soros’ compound wherever that is and leave us alone.

So is Gibbs saying Obama is a liar?

bk Friday, November 6th at 9:15AM EST (link)

Didn’t Obama say over and over that virtually everyone agreed on 80% of “the plan” (whatever “the plan” meant). So then how is it that the GOP has such terrible ideas if they have 80% in common with the Democrats?

The only reasonable explanation is that Obama was lying. Thanks for confirming that, Baghdad Bobby!

No Republican support

idealjoe Friday, November 6th at 9:13AM EST (link)

I keep hearing reports of Republicans offering suggestions to make the health care bill easier to swallow. This bill is bad for America and bad for the Democrats. We need to back away from this and let it taint and devour the Socialist Party that owns it. Let it die!!! When they are ready to include our party in a health care reform bill, maybe we can talk. But this bill stinks! We have issues on the table right now that are much more important, like …….oh, I don’t know how about jobs? How about buying our children’s country back from Red China? How about saving the capitalistic system that built this nation? In my humble opinion health care reform as a priority is way down the list.

Why would ye die?

Based on that list, this sounds like a done deal - in Pelosi's favor

bk Friday, November 6th at 9:18AM EST (link)

She can afford to lose 40 votes if the GOP has no crossovers. There are barely over 40 people in the combined “no” and “maybe” lists, so they only need to flip a few people.

Go look at the YES votes in the house for Cap & Trade

izoneguy Friday, November 6th at 9:23AM EST (link)

Combine that with the YES votes this Pelosi disaster will receive -
and then fight like hell to remove any house member who voted for either of these rip-offs.

Conservatives by the hundreds need to rush in and start mounting attacks in their districts against these traitors.

Sure some of these members won’t be voted out - but we should at least give them plenty of heat.

of the Blue Dog Coalition. The Hill article is “reported names” so it’s not a complete list of names but it’s a start.

If anyone knows of congressmen/women not on this list but who lean towards the “no” vote, post their names here asap.

OK good point - I wondered how this could look so bleak

bk Friday, November 6th at 9:53AM EST (link)

Let’s hope Stupak’s pro-life group and the blue dogs all have cold feet. I don’t know how many are in Stupak’s crew and how many are also considered blue dogs - certainly the ones who are both should vote against this mess.

Also remind them who

joayn Friday, November 6th at 9:18AM EST (link)

Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky was. (See Dan Perrin’s RedState post from yesterday.)

“After defeating Republican Jon D. Fox in a close contest, she became a member of the 103rd Congress. However, she was not re-elected. Losing in 1994 to her 1992 opponent, she was one of 34 Democratic incumbents who were defeated in the Republican Revolution. Her defeat was blamed on her vote for President Bill Clinton’s controversial 1993 budget, for which she was the deciding vote. After the vote, Rep. Robert Walker (R-Pennsylvania) reportedly mocked her, jumping up and down and said “Goodbye, Marjorie” alluding to the fact that her deciding vote would cost her the seat.”

In addition to phone calls, if you also make a simple fax with the Wikepedia information in bold letters as the body of the fax, then a simple “Vote No” at the bottom would be nice and to the point. Never underestimate the visual impact of faxes. It’s not dog poo but it’s still effective.

Healthcare?

dclamage Friday, November 6th at 9:29AM EST (link)

This is the least of our worries. Obama is poised to sign the international treaty on Global Warming, which will siphon off a huge amount of our wealth and give it to impoverished Socialist third-world nations (stealing our wealth is a good way to reduce our global strength) and violate our sovereignty in favor of a Socialist One World gov’t. Which is precisely what Obama wants. This treaty will destroy our Constitution and take away our firearms. The Commies will finally have cut off our balls and enslaved us. It’s time to fight back!

Don't underestimate the privacy issue

solvoreor Friday, November 6th at 10:05AM EST (link)

Call it what you will. Privacy, respect for individuals, independence, much of what you saw in New Jersey, or more precisely didn’t see, was a reaction to what amounts to a unacceptable level of meddling in the private affairs of individuals.

How much I get paid
What my doctor and I discuss
How I spend my money
Who I feel needs my charity
How much I weigh, whether I smoke, if my genes meet your standards
Where I go to school
How big my family is
What car I drive (Did I mention, who I spend my money>)

You get the point. It started with nasty money changing bankers of AIG and Wall street (the whole thing smacked of European anti-semitism) who were derided in the public media until they feared to send their kids to school without an armed escort. Then the administration threat machined turned on one group after another until it began to attack individuals demonstrating that it had no limits on how far it would go to control everyone’s life.

Health care is about removing any vestiges of a personal right to privacy. If Roe v Wade established a heretofore undetected right to privacy in the constitution the government mandated health reform annihilates any claim to privacy and enables unlimited meddling in the most intimate affairs of the individual.

It is the realization that respect for each person is not the same as support for the “people”. It was all the people who sat home that changed New Jersey. People who may personally like Obama, but who still demand a level of respect for themselves as individuals that the administration doesn’t seem willing to concede.

Personal privacy and government respect for the independence and individuality of each person are to be sacrificed for the conformity of the individual by force to the benefit of the “people”. For all our differences, we are alike in reverence for out individuality.

Respecting privacy, property and the right of individuals to make there own choices for themselves and their families is a cornerstone for a winning political platform.

Why?

makemyday Friday, November 6th at 11:44AM EST (link)

Why are we even forced to discuss Health Care from the stand point that the Feds are going to pass this and put it into law? Maybe the argument could be forced back to states rights. Constitutionally the states reserve all power except those powers they give to the feds. How is that power transferred to the feds? Is it through our elected representatives in Congress passing laws they say are the will of the people (constituents) or is it given through the Constitution and the amendment process? If it is through the Congressional route then we don’t have an argument other than we don’t like what they are doing. If on the otherhand it is expressly given through the Constitution and the amendment process then we can argue with the support of the Constitution. The Commerce Clause is the only loophole in the Constitution they have to drive this load of dung through and we should close that off through the amendment process.

When all else fails…….. Shoot!

Don’t you think yesterday’s House Call might help persuade at least one leaning Democrat away from Pelosi? I can only imagine how much pressure she can apply, but having 10s of thousands of people standing outside your office eerily calling out your name has to give one, (even as soul deprived as Pelosi) pause, don’t you think?

If not, I’m glad VAs election (and all the time I devoted to it) at least paid off.

Obana's threats and promises

Have caused some blue dogs to cave, and one republican. They won this round. So all of us have to up the heat. They pull in more money
and use all the dirty tricks. So we have to donate directly to the campaigns of those we favor, and if possible get out and and help in any way we can, and keep the pressure on those currently in office. And most important, Vote in the primaries, for people you can trust. Investigate, any kind of record they have, to be sure .we aren’t voting for another “repubocrat”, like the one in dist 23 NY. was. Stand strong our Republic, demands it, to stay free, from those outside and those inside our great country, who would tear it down!
