It is almost an admission by the Crist campaign that his campaign is garbage. Governor Crist’s long time communications director is out.
After a run of bad publicity, Gov. Charlie Crist will go the route of so many chief executives hampered by falling poll numbers or botched public relations: shaking up the communications team.
Crist’s office confirmed Wednesday he is parting ways with longtime communications director Erin Isaac, who has long been an influential advisor to an image-obsessed governor. Crist chief of staff Shane Strum said Isaac told him Tuesday she was leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Her exit speaks to Crist’s sagging fortunes. It follows two weeks of unbelievably bad press in which Crist denied he knew that President Barack Obama was visiting troops in Jacksonville, and then denied he ever “endorsed” the president’s economic stimulus package despite campaigning with Obama for its passage in Fort Myers.
If that wasn’t bad enough for Crist, Scott Rothstein, a prominent Florida attorney, is now under federal investigation for a Ponzi scheme. Rothstein is one of Charlie Crist’s big financial backers. This is all the more troubling because Crist was Attorney General of Florida before becoming Governor four years ago. Rothstein’s relationship with Crist could raise some serious questions.
Rothstein has given the Florida Republican Party and Crist around $500,000.00 in the last few years.

What is the Plan B?
suzieQ Wednesday, November 11th at 5:51PM EST (link)If by some small chance Crist wins the primary, what can the people do who don’t want a dem or Crist? I know many people here do not share my same point of view on this, but this situation is exactly why I am encouraged by the creation of the Tea Party in Florida. I can’t wait to see who they run as their candidate.

“My concern about the role of the federal government is that an intrusive government, a government that says, ‘Don’t worry, we will solve your problems’ is a government that tends to crowd compassion out of the marketplace, that too often in the past people said: ‘Somebody else will take care of the problem in my area. Don’t worry. The government is here.’”

mschmitt Thursday, November 12th at 8:23AM EST (link)… and if he does (let’s not kid ourselves, it’s still quite likely, if for no other reason than inertia; oh, and gobs and gobs of money in his coffers), then we have to help drag him across the finish line — because (A) on a seat-by-seat basis, squish RINO isn’t necessarily worse than the alternative; and (B) conservatives staying home or bleeding out of the Republican party every time a RINO wins a primary just weakens and pushes the Republican leadership further to the left (and that goes for whether a 3rd party candidate pulls out an unlikely victory or not).
In the end, I’d rather have McCain than Obama. I’d rather have Crist than Meek. Of course, there is a flip side to that coin — but I think there are still a few other ways to punish/correct the national party leadership for happily marching us down the road to tyranny…
Timing
bigdny Wednesday, November 11th at 6:02PM EST (link)This is all very encouraging, but remember - the only leverage conservatives have over Crist’s errand boy in the Senate is the Crist for Senate campaign. If Crist drops out *too*early, Senator LeMieux may be unleashed. Who knows how he’ll vote on health care rationing or cap and tax. Easy does it now - let’s make sure we don’t up the pressure too much until after Obamacare dies.

Meanwhile if you would like to see how an honest conservative answers questions about key issues you can watch this 30 minute interview with Marco Rubio. He wasnt wearing Flip-Flops and I did not smell any waffles!
The difference between Crist and Rubio is that Rubio does not have to remember what he said or did last week to answer a question.
Kinda long but a good interview with Rubio:

Crist is getting what he so richly deserves for being such an unscrupulous politician who can’t remember the lie he told yesterday and therefore tells another one. Bwahahahahaha–Rubio all the way.

tenebrous Wednesday, November 11th at 7:20PM EST (link)The reality is that NY-23 didn’t prove that third parties can’t win. The reality is that third parties sabotaged by both major parties and sabotaged by many moderates and conservatives, fighting against $900,000 spent by the Republicans, who appear only once on the ballot, and who have an opponent drop out to support another opponent, can’t win.
None of those circumstances matter, though. You must not support third parties — even if they run a better candidate, because that candidate cannot win because he runs as a third party! *shaking head*

I just got a call from the NRSC....... I almost feel bad for launching..... Almost.
Kenny Solomon Wednesday, November 11th at 7:26PM EST (link)Oooooh bubbie, did I give them a what-for…… After a minute, I kind of felt sorry for the dude on the other end of the phone, because I’ve a feeling he’s hearing it from all sides down here in Flori-duh… and they’re definitely not expecting the backlash, especially from here in Super-Blue South Flori-duh.
Told him that NOT ONE DIME will they receive from me until they hold their own feet to the fire NOW and the current serving members start standing up for The Constitution and fighting on the floor of The Senate and shouting from the rooftops to the people of The USA that tyranny is fast approaching, not just yapping and trying to play nice in the sandbox with people who are literally the enemy of The USA and freedom.
Told them that I am donating money and my time directly to candidates (true) and if the NRSC doesn’t stop the game-playing and at least acknowledge that Mr. Rubio is a living, breathing human being, resident of Flori-duh, candidate for Senate, I’d do my best to get the word out that all the NRSC cares about is appeasing the stimu-junk-accepting, Obama-hugging, George Hamilton look-alike and handing over the nation to tyranny.
Then I got mad.

The invite is open to anyone who wants to stand on the wall. We’re several hundred strong and growing daily. (As an aside, we’re all going to say hi to Mr. Gore on Saturday afternoon at Mizner Park in Boca for his
brainwashingfundraiser event).Something interesting occurred at a few previous meetings of our DC Works For Us group……. and it snowballed to the “whoa, we can really do this” stage.
We’re initiating something called “Citizen Legislator” (Looking to take it national very soon too.) Patriot group organizers and lead people from all over Florida are in Orlando today going over what we as a State expect from anyone running for office to receive the backing of what is a growing “edgy” population about what’s going on.
We’re all on the same page.
We fully intend to take our state back and invoke The 10th Amendment.
Charlie Crist and the rest of the squishies are not part of any plan going forward.
My local/state candidate support goes to:
Senate: Marco Rubio.
House: Bernard Sansaricq (my district - FL-23) - and I’m working with him running against that stellar individual, Alcee Hastings.
Also, I fully support Lt. Col. Allen West (what a great guy) and Ed Lynch.
….plus…..whoever is running against that fun guy Alan Grayson upstate in FL-8 “just because”.
Of course you can have my guns……. Bullets first.
I didn’t say rounds, shells or magazines……
I said bullets first.

Get a hold of yourselves.
We are gonna make sure Rubio wins both the primary and general.
Sarah and others will endorse Rubio too.
NY-23 was First Manassas.
FL GOP Senate Primary will be Antietam.
All Republicans and those in the Tea Party Movement should fight 100% for Rubio.
Sarah and Fred’s endorsement of Hoffman along with his knocking out Dede has already got Cornyn to back off endorsing primary candidates.
KEEP THE PRESSURE ON! RUBIO! Don’t look back!
