OK, my dream job really is guest hosting for Rush Limbaugh while doing RedState. But doggoneit! I think I would be the most awesomeist replacement for Lou Dobbs that CNN could find. I could revitalize their whole network.

I don't want to write off Ganley immediately since he intends to make a go of it and not just be a poseur, but things are really looking up for Portman in Ohio. The Democrats continue to decline, Obama is increasingly unpopular, and Portman is looking more and more solid.

That's kind of cool. I'm a HUGE map junkie. I love maps. I collect maps. I have some very old maps and always get the most recent NatGeo World Map.

CNN: now 100% Leftist, 100% of the time
JLenardDetroit (Diary) Thursday, November 12th at 2:22PM EST (link)At least when Beck and Dobbs were there they could try and claim “Balance” 9% of the Day. But they were never really part of the mix in needing to monitor the enemy broadcasts for content distortions.
On a slightly different trek, I’d really like to see the FOX Network pull Craig Ferguson (American On Purpose), who is at the end of his current contract, away from Letterman and putting him up on Fox Network going head-to-head with Letterman. Instead, they moved out Saturday only Ferseten and brought in Wanda Sykes – oh give me a break!!! With just a few writer changes Ferguson would be a great counter to the current crop of Weekday-nightly horrible late night choices. Craig is the only Late Night host I can even tolerate and I DVR him nightly. Despite some of the usual pokes, from the normal pool of Leftist writers in LaLa-land, glimmers of a real person shines through. That, or Conservative Comedian Jim Norton – but I doubt he wants that type of venue and it is fun catching him on RedEye.

Politico sees what it wants to see in South Park
Finrod (Diary) Thursday, November 12th at 6:13PM EST (link)For those of you who don’t follow South Park, the basic plot of yesterday’s episode went like this:
Eric Cartman manipulates his way into the spot of reading the morning school announcements, then uses it as a platform to attack and demagogue the class president, Wendy Testaburger. When the school tries to stop him, he invokes the ACLU to keep them from ‘stifling his free expression’, escalating his campaign to the point that Wendy ends up resigning her post, handing it over to Cartman, who quickly discovers that he doesn’t have the power to change the things that he’s been blaming Wendy for all along.
Politico’s headline? “South Park spoofs Glenn Beck”.
Hello? What woman leader was endlessly demagogued to the point that she resigned? Was Glenn Beck involved in that in any way whatsoever?
Let’s get down to brass tacks here. How much for the ape?

Here's a new link....... Feds move to seize mosques, NYC skyscraper and more.
Kenny Solomon (Diary) Thursday, November 12th at 6:24PM EST (link)http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/feds_move_iran_seize_mosques_nyc_94aYUBwWe1r4KcOrlvmXWI
Federal prosecutors Thursday took steps to seize four U.S. mosques and a Fifth Avenue skyscraper owned by a nonprofit Muslim organization long suspected of being secretly controlled by the Iranian government.
In what could prove to be one of the biggest counterterrorism seizures in U.S. history, prosecutors filed a civil complaint in federal court seeking the forfeiture of more than $500 million in assets of the Alavi Foundation and an alleged front company.
The assets include Islamic centers in New York City, Maryland, California and Houston, more than 100 acres in Virginia, and a 36-story office tower in New York.
