My financial services company has a meeting with my local anti-abortion Democrat Congressman today. Because of the nature of the meeting/lunch, the questions, which are not limited in topic, must be asked diplomatically.

If I ask “Will you support the Health Care Bill when/if the Stupak Amendment is removed in conference?” is that the proper terminology? Is there any other wording that could be used to improve upon the thought? Thanks.

Once at trial it will be easier for the court to throw out the case against Khalid Sheikh Mohammed because he was tortured. In a few years we’ll settle out of court with him and he’ll be amassing wealth from us in order to use it against us. Call it the Soros Strategy.

Our federal court system will get guilty pleas on the balloon boy parents but not on the worst single incident mass murderer of our era.

I’m starting to dread Fridays, when Obama drops his turds in the punchbowl. I’m REALLY dreading the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is probably an extremely slow media day. Who knows what he’ll drop then.

Last week I had the privilege of voting to pass the Affordable Health Care for America Act – a bill that will make health care affordable for middle-class families, provide security for seniors, and guarantee access to health insurance coverage for the uninsured while responsibly reducing the federal deficit over the next decade and beyond.

I firmly believe this is the plan we need to fix our broken health care system and get our economy back on track. In our area alone, this landmark legislation has the potential to:

Improve employer-based coverage for 442,000 residents
Provide credits to help pay for coverage for up to 167,000 households.
Improve Medicare for 109,000 beneficiaries, including closing the prescription drug donut hole for 9,600 seniors.
Allow 13,600 small businesses to obtain affordable health care coverage and provide tax credits to help reduce health insurance costs for up to 12,100 small businesses.
Provide coverage for 36,000 uninsured residents.
Protect up to 1,600 families from bankruptcy due to unaffordable health care costs.
Reduce the cost of uncompensated care for hospitals and health care providers by $94 million.

The best I can tell it is an insurance company that sells Medicare supplemental insurance to cover all the stuff that Medicare doesn’t.

Is it any wonder that they are salivating at the House Bill that purports(it will never happen) to cut $400-$500 Billion from Medicare over the next 10 years? Sounds like a windfall for the good old AARP.

I’ve been looking for any information on a foreign enemy combatant being tried in the American civilian courts for committing an illegal act of war, such as what KSM and his band of terrorists did. I couldn’t find any and was wondering if anyone here knew of any of these trials?

It seems to me that Obama has decided all by himself to end the War on Terror and terrorists committing an illegal act of war will be considered no different than someone who commits a moving violation.

Except for those who don’t buy health insurance under ObamaPelosiCare. That “crime” will be considered a crime against humanity.

Did anyone notice that the media was reporting that Nidal Hasan was yelling “God is Great” when he was shooting? Even on FOX they said something like ” He was shouting God is Great, or Allahu Akbar.” The use of “God is Great” was much more common in the media than “Allahu Akbar”. Now, Hasan was an American and English is his native language, so his intentional use of “Allahu Akbar” should mean something to people. Why did the news media feel the need to translate? As a Christian I am offended that “Allah” is translated as “God” because Allah is not the same God that I worship whose name is God. Why didn’t they translate it as “Allah is Great”? Is this a new angle on political correctness when talking about Islam? And really, do the Muslims even want it translated as “God” and not “Allah”? Don’t American Muslim’s refer to their god as Allah? So, if the Christians don’t like it and the Muslim’s don’t like it, then why are they doing it?

So this dog is found, 14 months after it disapeared during a firefight, safe, happy, and healthy. Hurray. Im a sucker for stories like this. Its a black dog too, which is even better.

But what I would have done, had I been in charge of the PR? Pictures people! The story says they found the dog with an Afghan at an isolated post. Why wasnt the Afghan, the dogs handler, the guy who found the dog, and the dog, put in a group together and photo op? I think it would have looked great, been a good story, all that.

Are good stories not allowed about Afghanistan anymore? I mean, maybe I missed it, but Im linking to a British paper, not an American one. Was it not in an American one? I hope I missed it.
