In Barack Obama’s America, they both go to jail — but the terrorist has to be convicted first.

    My financial services company has a meeting with my local anti-abortion Democrat Congressman today. Because of the nature of the meeting/lunch, the questions, which are not limited in topic, must be asked diplomatically.

    If I ask “Will you support the Health Care Bill when/if the Stupak Amendment is removed in conference?” is that the proper terminology? Is there any other wording that could be used to improve upon the thought? Thanks.

    Once at trial it will be easier for the court to throw out the case against Khalid Sheikh Mohammed because he was tortured. In a few years we’ll settle out of court with him and he’ll be amassing wealth from us in order to use it against us. Call it the Soros Strategy.

    Our federal court system will get guilty pleas on the balloon boy parents but not on the worst single incident mass murderer of our era.

    I’m starting to dread Fridays, when Obama drops his turds in the punchbowl. I’m REALLY dreading the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is probably an extremely slow media day. Who knows what he’ll drop then.

    Last week I had the privilege of voting to pass the Affordable Health Care for America Act ? a bill that will make health care affordable for middle-class families, provide security for seniors, and guarantee access to health insurance coverage for the uninsured while responsibly reducing the federal deficit over the next decade and beyond.

    I firmly believe this is the plan we need to fix our broken health care system and get our economy back on track. In our area alone, this landmark legislation has the potential to:

    Improve employer-based coverage for 442,000 residents
    Provide credits to help pay for coverage for up to 167,000 households.
    Improve Medicare for 109,000 beneficiaries, including closing the prescription drug donut hole for 9,600 seniors.
    Allow 13,600 small businesses to obtain affordable health care coverage and provide tax credits to help reduce health insurance costs for up to 12,100 small businesses.
    Provide coverage for 36,000 uninsured residents.
    Protect up to 1,600 families from bankruptcy due to unaffordable health care costs.
    Reduce the cost of uncompensated care for hospitals and health care providers by $94 million.

    “What made you decide to support the Health Care Bill? When the Stupak Amendment was added? Really? Will you withdraw your support if the Amendment is removed in conference?”

    Let him bring up the amendment, and if he doesn’t, *then* ask him about whether it had an effect. You won’t be accused of interjecting abortion politics into the meeting then.

    If you want the government to keep its “laws off our bodies” how can you suppport a health care law that will give the federal government the power to mandate anything it wants regarding health care and create unfunded mandates to carry these decisions out?

    Since he’s a Democrat and thus a weasel, he can obfuscate about just what the “Stupak Amendment” is or means. I’d say something like, “Since the Stupak Amendment prohibits the use of federal funds for abortion, should that Amendment or a similar provision not be included in the Conference Report, would you support the Health Care Bill absent such a provision? It’s a little clunky, but it has some foundation.

    The best I can tell it is an insurance company that sells Medicare supplemental insurance to cover all the stuff that Medicare doesn’t.

    Is it any wonder that they are salivating at the House Bill that purports(it will never happen) to cut $400-$500 Billion from Medicare over the next 10 years? Sounds like a windfall for the good old AARP.

    I’ve been looking for any information on a foreign enemy combatant being tried in the American civilian courts for committing an illegal act of war, such as what KSM and his band of terrorists did. I couldn’t find any and was wondering if anyone here knew of any of these trials?

    It seems to me that Obama has decided all by himself to end the War on Terror and terrorists committing an illegal act of war will be considered no different than someone who commits a moving violation.

    Except for those who don’t buy health insurance under ObamaPelosiCare. That “crime” will be considered a crime against humanity.

    Did anyone notice that the media was reporting that Nidal Hasan was yelling “God is Great” when he was shooting? Even on FOX they said something like ” He was shouting God is Great, or Allahu Akbar.” The use of “God is Great” was much more common in the media than “Allahu Akbar”. Now, Hasan was an American and English is his native language, so his intentional use of “Allahu Akbar” should mean something to people. Why did the news media feel the need to translate? As a Christian I am offended that “Allah” is translated as “God” because Allah is not the same God that I worship whose name is God. Why didn’t they translate it as “Allah is Great”? Is this a new angle on political correctness when talking about Islam? And really, do the Muslims even want it translated as “God” and not “Allah”? Don’t American Muslim’s refer to their god as Allah? So, if the Christians don’t like it and the Muslim’s don’t like it, then why are they doing it?

Nidal Hasan was every bit the Military equivalent of the Robert Redford character in Liars For Losers (what I call “Lions For Lambs”), using a protected position and trying to convince them we are our own enemy, and should have been dishonorably discharged but instead was promoted. The message that “We Are The Evil” is not a question of “Diversity of Opinion” it is stupidly counter-intuitive to a Force that VOLUNTEERS to fight our Nations enemies. Sally Quinn, was on O’Reilly, still going on and on about how we cannot tell yet and must INVESTIGATE, which she really means time is needed by Liberals to investigate the best way to SPIN the situation rather than deal with REALITY! We Conservatives warned endlessly about the discrepancy of how the Liberals would rule (this yet another, treating Terrorism as Criminality like Bill Clinton did) over their conflicting Campaign rhetoric to lie their way into Office.

    ABORTION: Democrats don?t follow the Laws they pass (Abortions, as promised to PP – WILL BE COVERED)

    HR3296, even with Stupak Amendment — the HHS Secretary is the one that will have the sole discretion and is tasked with setting up the criteria of what is minimum coverage as a qualified HC plan under these Laws. They can and will use this alone, if they feel they need to, and if you want to step up and call out that as a conflict with Stupak they’ll just refer you to the LIBERAL ACTIVIST JUDICIAL system (lower Federal courts before it would ever get to SCOTUS) where they’ll tie it all up in the mean-time.

    Regardless of what Final Bill comes out of all their wheeling and dealing to get any old Liberal Incremental-ism BS passed so they can bury (read:hide and pass) more that the Nation doesn’t want in some other Bill (like they already had passed the “Health Panel Oversight” in the Stimulus Bill prior to all the official Obamaocare debate)…

    As if they are going to actually care what the final Laws say, they WILL be funding Abortions anyway REGARDLESS?. The LINE ITEM CHARGES that will be paid WON?T SAY: ?ABORTION? THEY WILL BE ?BIRTHING SERVICES? but there just won?t be any LIVE BABY DELIVERY in those ?Services? ?.. I mean really?. We gonna wake up from this usual ?RE-Define the Terms? dodges/scams the Democrats are allowed to get away with?!?!?! Or Planned Parenthood will begin the new “Get 5 visits, get FREE Abortion” Program – so they can inflate costs of visits for any reasons and basically just pre-pay Abortions!

    So this dog is found, 14 months after it disapeared during a firefight, safe, happy, and healthy. Hurray. Im a sucker for stories like this. Its a black dog too, which is even better.

    But what I would have done, had I been in charge of the PR? Pictures people! The story says they found the dog with an Afghan at an isolated post. Why wasnt the Afghan, the dogs handler, the guy who found the dog, and the dog, put in a group together and photo op? I think it would have looked great, been a good story, all that.

    Are good stories not allowed about Afghanistan anymore? I mean, maybe I missed it, but Im linking to a British paper, not an American one. Was it not in an American one? I hope I missed it.

    .. Maj. Hasan is not an extremist, just misunderstood. Aww, he was picked on. The poor guy had to Overcome Adversity (TM). And, of course, he’s not caucasian. If a white conservative Christian bombs an abortion clinic, he’s the next Hitler (not that I would ever approve of that kind of terroristic attack, mind you). But when a radical Muslim extremist with a history of anti-American rhetoric plans out and carries a devastating attack – we just need to be more sensitive! It’s really the military’s fault for not giving enough diversity training! [/sarcasm off]

    This is what I heard another media person say, I think on NPR: “Hasan is a religious extremist who just happens to be Muslim.” Now this is just crazy! What other religion preaches ‘holy war’? None. What other religion has respected leaders with large followings preaching hate that must be carried out by suicidal terrorism? None! Yes, we can distinguish between Muslim Jihadists and Muslims who don’t believe in Jihad, but the fact that Muslim Jihadists are at war with the West is well established. Hasan’s Muslim Jihadist beliefs are the reason he did what he did and nothing else. So he’s not a crazy who ‘just happened to be Muslim’. So now we have a question that needs answering. If he doesn’t get the death penalty, does he still get the 70 virgins?
