After being told to “Just don’t log on,” many times,
(many in the past week alone,) he just doesn’t “get it.”
We will probably see him again tomorrow.
As for us, just don’t reply to him.

Actually that doesn’t close the account.

He said he wanted to avoid the chance of a hack leaking his private data, but his private data is not erased even if he gets banned.

He also seems to miss that a banning precludes all future re-registration, so I’m not about to start banning for fickle non-reasons.

I don’t believe an admin has given an reason, though I could be mistaken. I may have missed a reply somewhere that explained it. One admin, Neil Stevens, did say it can be done.

Lots of non-admins have given reasons why. That maybe where you’ve assumed a reason has been given.

What’s the harm in asking?

If I don’t ask, the admins would assume that I don’t care if the account’s been closed. I can’t see any other way to respectfully close the account escept by asking. E-mails don’t seem to work.

Again, I realize I could start posting epitaphs or start swearing but that seems kind of crass.
