Boo-Freakin’-Hoo

Sweet little Lindsey Graham has been left on the verge of tears over health care reform. No, not because it might pass, but because it might ruin his bi-partisan effort to impose cap and trade on Americans.

The Democrats, intent on taking over 1/6th of the American economy are also intent on totally destroying another vital part of the economy — energy production. Sweet little Lindsey wants to help them.

But because the Democrats have been such bullies on health care, passing it with zero Republican votes, Lindsey thinks they are putting his bipartisan compromise on cap and trade in jeopardy.

With a united Democratic Caucus, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was able to get to cloture on health care without a single GOP vote. But Democrats aren’t united on climate change, and the bitter battle over health care has left even sympathetic Republicans with little desire to help — a dynamic that would likely doom the bill to legislative failure.

“It makes it hard to do anything because of the way this was handled,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

Graham didn’t elaborate, but he didn’t have to — the fierce partisan fights during the past few weeks have torn away at the Senate’s clubby decorum, raising temperatures, fraying nerves and creating what one Democratic senator has called a “very high” level of distrust among members.

Graham’s words carry serious weight with supporters of climate change legislation because the South Carolina Republican has emerged as a leader on the issue in the Senate, working with Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) on a bipartisan bill.

Other potentially “gettable” Republican senators also sounded discouraging notes Monday.

Seriously? Good!

The Democrats have upended Senate precedent, ignored its own rules and the constitution, all in the name of taking over a huge portion of the American economy. And they thing any member of the GOP will help them do it a second time to a different sector of the economy? Even sweet Lindsey isn’t that stupid.

to pass tax & crap. On FOX news, McLame was asked directly if this healthcare debacle would end his attempts for bipartisanship on other bills.
Of course he hip hopped all around the question. What a surprise, huh?

  • proudgop

another post attacking a Republican for the day

Why not focus your energizes on attacking a Democrat a day?

  • Joe_Cor

And is the GOP really not that stupid?

From seeing him on O’Reilly last night, he seems to be taking the health care debacle remarkably well — just kind of a real bad day at the office. No real passion, no real outrage, just “shucks, the Dems shouldn’t do some of this stuff.” Laura Ingram was remarkably gentle with him, regrettably.

I’m not sure the Republicans won’t still jump at a new opportunity to “reach out” to the cool kids, even after all this. It’s all they saw during the Bush years. Their memories have to extend all the way back to Reagan to find an example of someone who put policy above collegiality. I’m not sure they can even conceive of being anything but docile pussycats.

Crap & tax, would eventually put my husband and thousands like him, out of a job! My state depends on the oil industry for jobs & revenue. You think I’m going to support lilly livered RINO’s like Looney Lindsey & McLame when they are betraying conservatives by working with the enemy? NOT IN THIS LIFETIME!

  • proudgop

    chose too

He could of been voted out in primary but they chose not too

I oppose cap and trade but I don’t get why spending all hate on republicans is productive to changing what is present tense??

  • joayn

discussing climate change. The scientific genius said he could prove there was global warming because he and McCain VISITED Norway, Iceland, Alaska, etc. and WALKED AROUND and SAW the evidence. At no time did he say they studied any SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE in places they visited.

Doofus, moron, idiot, unbelievable ignoramus – no words can express what a tool this guy is.

Lindsey objected to being called a far right kook for opposing health care, yet he called those that opposed amnesty for illegals racists.

  • michigan

is bi-polar-itical. McCain is his best buddy and they both need to take a powder next election cycle. Both are totally untrustworthy as Republicans.

Lindsey Graham has been in the party of one(or maybe it’s the party with McCain as the leader). He thinks because that SC is not energy producing state, that they aren’t effected. That’s not even true at all. The companies here in the energy producing states get hit and will pass it down the line. I don’t like Lindsey on that and other things. I wished he would do a 180 right now but that seems like to much to ask.

I have used my energy to attack Democrats. I have called, e-mailed , & faxed Landrieu, for all the good it did me. I have no doubt that I’m on her hit list. This morning I called our state GOP to find out if our state has any type of plan or strategy to counterattack this healthcare bill. Of course, I got a staffer who knew nothing & the standard “we’ll get right back with you”. I used to be just like you– I trusted anyone that had an R behind their name. I was just stupid & politically naive. Well, thanks to RS and other conservative websites, I have learned my lesson. Have you?

    what a pos!

.. I was gave him kudos for grilling Holder on the 911 trials.

    thanks for the post, guys.

  • AceInTX

Stop crying sissy boys and get busy objecting to unanimous consent requests!

  • ceili_dancer

All I see is Kerry, Lieberman, and Graham,… Where is the Republican. /snark

  • AceInTX

When are you going to stop making excuses for these losers…

REID HAS PASSED HIS MANAGERS AMENDMENT AND ONE OR TWO MORE AMENDMENTS TO AN HCR BILL THAT HAVEN”T BEEN READ YET AND THERE HASN”T BEEN A SINGLE DELAYING TACTIC EMPLOYED TO STOP THE SINGLE BIGGEST RAPE OF THE CONSTITUTION SINCE CFR WHICH MCCONNELL LET SLIDE THROUGH!

IF THEY WON’T FIGHT WHEN THE END OF THE REPUBLIC IS AT HAND…WHY IN THE HELL SHOULDN”T WE CRITCIZE THEM FOR PETE’S SAKE?!

  • audax

…but it sure uses a lot…What do you think they make those plastics with in SC? MUD? No Oil and NG! What are most of the fabrics/textiles made from? carpets? Most of the textile jobs are already GONE

  • Achance

that you won’t have any energy left for the Democrats.

  • Richard Mullins

Just because you don’t produce the oil doesn’t mean that you don’t use it. Idiots like Lindsey and McCain seem to always forget that. If SC didn’t have people like Jim DeMint they would be in a worse political situation. As for the Textile industry, commie unions have done a lot to hurt them every hard. Idiots like Lindsey want to finish the job. The don’t vote for Lindsey need to be the rallying cry until 2014.

  • RedBeard

If not, what was the meaning of your post?

  • AceInTX

spare me please…and enjoy the death panels you’ll be finding in you stockings Christmas Eve!

Hell..even Ried seems to be mystified because all he can do by way of criticizing Republicans right now is complaining that if they’d just yield back their time we’d be able to finish tomorrow!

Do you really want to defend that?

You tell me why I should feel encouraged with 1/6th of our economy being socialized…an individual mandate about to crush me under the expense and the tax increases that will further destroy my business….

Right now I’m looking for a time clock to punch so I can pay my bills but we get to add mandates for Businesses to give insurance to their employees making it much less likely that I’ll be able to find a frigging job…

then I get up this morning and am treated to stories about what a brilliant strategist McConnell is and how Republican tactics are working. We’ve got Kay Bailey Hutchinson blustering and blowing about her grand battle to stop this abomination and Lamar Alexander vowing to stay until Veterans day if that’s what it takes to kill it, throw in McCain, Graham and McConnell crying great big crocodile tears about how those big meanies in the Democrat Party didn’t give them a chance to participate in the gang rape we’re all getting…I’ve called since 3 months ago I think it was for them to object to unanimous consent requests or do anything thet can to make the Dems at least respect them and Coburn finally did it for a couple hours the other day…but now we’ve passed a the Managers bill and two amendments without anything being read….

I’m so frustrated, mad, and discouraged I could spit blood so please….GIVE ME SOMETHING TO PRAISE THEM FOR!!!
