Murder as Politics: An Inconvenient Truth

It is sad that this even has to be pointed out. With Joseph Patrick Bedell, the Democrat and Pentagon shooter, and Joe Stack, the crazed and angry Austinite, being lumped in as Tea Party activists, the right feels compelled to respond to a badly misguided media showing its left-wing bias.

Stack and Bedell, like Timothy McVeigh before them, are considered conservatives by the left, despite very clearly hating the right. In fact, if we were to be honest they like McVeigh are of a branch of anarcho-libertarian that hates both left and right.

But in a day and age when the media dwells on simple narratives devoid of reality, it is easier to lump them all in as conservatives, helping feed left-wing narratives about a violent right. And so the right must respond.

For just one example consider the Associated Press trying to blame Jim DeMint’s rhetoric as incitement for Bedell, a Democrat, and Stack a Marx quoting nut. This is the 2010 equivalent of Bill Clinton blaming Rush Limbaugh for Timothy McVeigh’s bombing in Oklahoma City. Never mind the facts, score points against the right.

Therefore, it is time for one of those inconvenient truths.

At least since the 19th century, it has been the left employing murder and death as a political weapon. From Hitler to Mao to Lenin to Stalin to Chavez to Castro to Guevera to Arafat to Pol Pot to Mugabe to [insert your favorite American union] to Margaret Sanger the left and its heroes have used death, violence, and murder to advance their agenda.

For every Pinochet or Netanyahu (unfairly) the left grasps for, the list is three times as long on the left.

It is inconvenient. The left will try to laugh it off or attack the person pointing out, but the truth remains.

It is not conservatives burning down homes in Washington State with the ELF. It is not conservatives throwing blood on women wearing fur. It is not conservatives burning down the Texas Governor’s Mansion during riots. It is not conservatives rioting during G-8 summits.

It is and has always been the left. Deal with it.

    …insinuating this and so much more leftist bias in their headlines and articles lately. Didn’t they just recently used to be right down the middle? Somebody took a hard turn left over at Politico in the last couple weeks.

    The Right only takes criticism seriously. The Left, on the other hand, only takes seriously whomever is NOT critical and we know what happens to the others..

    Read “The Whole Truth” by David Baldacci and you’ll see what I mean.

    Rather than discover the truth, perpetuate the lie until no one cares whether or not the claim was ever true.

    I have a neighbor who has a “How ’bout Them Changes Comrades” sign and a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag in his front yard.
    At the same time he has an Atlanta Journal-Constitution laying in his driveway.
    The AJC is the most Liberal rag in the SE. It isn’t even in the top 25 in circulation it is so bad. This paper needs to go down and so does CNN, MSNBC, NBC News and the Slim-owned NYT.
    We need to ban together—to call NBC and CBS local affiliates and tell the GM’s we don’t watch ANY of their local news because their Networks are anti-Christian, anti-Conservative and LIE to get their agenda accepted.

    of someone on the right who is a “pot enthusist”. This shooter was angry that pot wasn’t getting it’s rightful place in society. I think he made the case why it is not. He probably died really hungry.

    It used to be the facts mattered, and people said all they knew was what they read in the paper. Those days are gone on both counts.

    If today’s reporting is not purposeful propagandizing, then it iseither lazy or incompetent journalism.

    I agree that my impression of Politico was pretty much down the middle, but it is more than the last couple of weeks that they have turned left. I might be mistaken, but I thought I noticed it beginning at least with the last Presidential election.

    of more than 50 million Americans, via roe v wade , and the impending panels to rid themselves of the elderly who know our history via National health-care. is preceding the coming control of every single aspect of peoples lives including what they are allowed to say, as in Iraq under Hussein, those who spoke against the establishment, simply disappeared. that is why the destruction of our founders values and the Constitution are imperative to them.
    With Health-care they have met a major goal toward total Government control, they claim to have benevolent reasons, but the ultimate goal is malevolence. especially to those of us, they consider unfit and not smart enough.

    Glenn Beck has been doing a series of programs on radio and FOX News exposing this truth as well….the progressive left doesn’t seem to understand that we are NOT right-wing kooks and nuts. Extremists like Timothy McVeigh were bordering on anarchy. Conservatives are NOT anarchists…we understand the need for a federal government, it just needs to be limited in scope to the principles outlined in the Constitution. Fascists aren’t far-right wingers either…they’re for TOTAL government control, just like the progressives, socialists, and communists. The battale is not right nor left, conservative vs liberal progressive, it’s total anarchy (lack of government)against TOTAL government control. The Founders saw the need for government, but wisely chose to limit its reach.
