Its a lot harder to cheat, when you can’t dodge the spouse. Altmire should know that he will have two terrible weeks when he comes home for recess if he plans to switch his vote.

What would possess them to make that flip flop?

in anticipation of a vote in the House on the Senate’s health care bill. His office said he has no town halls planned.

I asked, “Why not? Now that the House has some idea of what might be in the final bill, we can finally have a discussion about the bill.”

    Really? What the ****!

land and as of yesterday, Colin was still a ‘No’. He’s from a +4 (or somewhere around there) R district so this would not only be a surprise, it would be stupid.

Unfortunately, IIRC, we don’t have a real strong Pub challenger for him.

He has always been fairly reliable on votes like this has he not?

so with that rather large caveat, there are a lot of Reagan Dem’s (read pro-life Catholics and Lutherans) in the rural areas of MN. I don’t know the exact boundaries of his district but I know that he can’t go too far off the reservation.

He voted against crap & tax because of the negative implications on the agricultural industry so he can be turned.

at least get a polite response of “I’ll pass your comments on to the Congressman.” My email to him went unanswered. Be aware that he does not do TownHalls except when he can pack the audience with his ultra-left supporters. I’ve been to them and can tell you he is NOT interested in hearing from the minority (read: conservatives) in the VA 8th District. The Republicrats don’t put up any real opposition to him – a virtual abandonment of the District to the left-wingnuts.
