We Can’t Let Bart Stupak Go Without A Judas Like Parting Gift

We can’t Bart Stupak go without a parting gift. Judas, after all, got 30 silver coins to sell out our Lord. Stupak needs something for selling out all the children sent off to be slaughtered thanks to his “compromise” that any President can pen away to oblivion — notwithstanding the questionable legal assumptions behind it.

Let’s send him 100 silver coins. It’s only a $4.00 investment on your part.

Order them and send them to:

Congressman Bart Stupak (you’ll not want to use the word honorable)
1229 W. Washington St.
Marquette, MI 49855
(906) 228 3700

COMMENTS

  • Marcus_Traianus

Stupak was searching for the right excuse. He never had any intention to stick with his purported position. It was all about the votes- Democrat’s needed them and he delivered. End of story. Stupak passed the health bill- he should be counted as vote 216.

At least Judas at one point had principles.

  • snowday

His opponent already has a FB page. Join and show support.

Since I am in D.C. anyway, I will go by his office tomorrow or Tuesday and leave 30 pieces of silver (nickels) at his office with a little note.

How does “Here is your 30 pieces of silver for your betrayal of the unborn.” sound?

He sold out the majority of the country for something more than we will now know. He must become the face of Socialized Medicine in America. This effort cannot fade into the background. He got his name and face in the national news, now let’s make him own it.

  • mavericktime

Why are you focusing all of your vitriol on Stupak? To me, he was honest throughout.

I think Republicans put too many of their hopes in a man who was committed to Democratic health reform, but who had serious qualms about abortion funding. It was a very slim reed from the get-go.

  • robmartin_74

Stupak is being challenged by a former surgeon who is vowing to work to repeal this abomination named Beneshek so it may be time to finding out who is running against everyone who votes against this and posting it so people can give support and donations to get these people out of office!

I told someone up thread to link it but since I already had access…

Send the $1.50-3.50 to his opponent then spend an extra bit for a stamp to let Mr. Stupak know. Remember what Vassar said: http://www.redstate.com/vassar/2010/03/15/making-congress-afraid-againthese-things-they-fear-part-ii/

The war is begun now even before the vote tally.

  • DefendUSA

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am. I have attended 6 rallies against the stimulus and the healthcare bull (not a typo). I was in DC again this weekend and I am so angry at the blatant deal making and power grabbing.

I wept when I went into the National Archives to see the Constitution. I’ve got fight left in me, but I finally feel some despair at what could be facing our children and theirs. I. am. so. angry.

  • andysmith

I’m no lawyer, but I think the general public knows that a law written by Congress holds more weight than an executive order. Speaking of which, how well did that one about closing Gitmo turn out?
Seriously, Stupak HAD to have been offered a lot more than this. Executive orders can be overridden at any time by the sitting President or others. I think that the responsible journalists out there will find something real soon about how he switched sides.

  • mrbigw

How about we start sending him postcards of children at local landmarks with this phrase written on the back.

“Thank GOD i was born before you betrayed your country”

2.) Shipping is 7 bucks plus. What if 10,000 of us send $25.00 to his opponent.

We can only hope he lives to see, understand and swim in anguished regret for his treachery. The man is either a liart or an idiot-time for him to go.

  • robmartin_74

He was caught earlier saying that he would vote for it if they needed like one vote to pass it because he didn’t think it was being recorded, but it was and now is on the internet!

  • Beasley Beesmeal

He hasn’t been honest for the past week and a half…

This administration has the corner on EXTORTION, bribery, propaganda and blackmail..

    Their demise will be grave.

God Protect and Bless us all.

  • mrbross

wouldn’t it be cheaper and more-on-point if we just sent 30 nickles?

  • mavericktime

He wanted a “tie-bar” bill, whatever that is!

The guy was under EXTREME pressure. How many people would have held out as long as he did?!

I am clearly as despairing as anyone that this bill looks like it’s passing, and I am disappointed in Stupak, but there are people far more deserving of anger than a man who held out as long as he could for a principle that he felt strongly about.

  • http://www.hakubi.us/ Neil Stevens

There are people who think Democrats in DC are sometimes good people with values and honor.

Now we all should know better.

  • mavericktime

He sacrificed so many of his principles to get this passed, it’s not funny!

    What a load of bart!

Obama’s a lyin sack of Bart!

  • janis

He held out for nothing. He has no principles that he stood fast for, he played everyone who thought he was being honest for chumps, including you. Although I must say, the ones who gave him some trust are, at this point, completely disgusted with him. You, on the other hand, think we should not be angry with someone who will be directly responsible for the deaths of untold innocents in abortion clinics?

    Do I have that right?

  • lurker9876

But I couldn’t get his email addy so had to use mine. :(

Let us know when his opponent has his online donation page up.

  • janis

None. Not even a small one. He is first, last, and foremost a man who will sacrifice anyone and anything for his own sake, for his own benefit. That you could come here and even hint that that man has anything even resembling principles would be laughable if it weren’t so tragically stupid.

  • Wade

Let’s not forget what he said at today’s press conference: “maybe the 3 a.m. phone calls that my wife answered on our home phone, while I was in Washington, can stop now.”

Hmmm…who do you think would be calling with threatening calls at 3 am? Tea Partiers? No, I don’t think so. Some pro-life wackos? No, I don’t think so.

He buckled under pressure from the hate filled left, plain and simple. They are his base, and he knows it. That’s why he didn’t say, “right wingers were calling me at 3 am”. It’s just more evidence that we need to play by a different set of rules to win these fights.

  • renny

lowering US standard of living, increasing taxes and penalties, gutting the military, increasing central gov’t power, desecrating liberty, and reducing America to another second-rate country like any you can name in Europe through the worst kind of political thuggery and tyranny.

We need a revolution in Nov. Don’t forget that, no matter what other acts of anger or revenge or retribution. The best revenge is winning. We have to try to stop krap and trade and “comprehensive” immigration reform in the meantime, but I don’t know if even the idiot Dems. want to go through this meat grinder for Obamanation and HIS presidency every couple months.

Summer is coming. Regroup, send money to good candidates, get out and register voters, work in precincts, and never give up, never surrender.

Yes, yes, and yes. This bill was too big to fail. The Democrats have made it clear that they will stop at nothing to implement their agenda – “I will not give up!”- the people, the country, and the Constitution be damned.

We can hang our hats on November 2nd all we want, but the majority has until January to do anything they can. If they give away their majority with this vote, they will have nothing left to lose and there will no reason for them to stop at all.

  • redtillimdead

If this debate proved ANYTHING its that Democrats HAVE no principals. Must have public option or no vote! No public option, no problem. Will only vote for pro-choice bill! Does not include abortion funding? Oh well. Will only vote for 100% pro-life bill. Pays for abortions? Forget what I said!

  • redtillimdead

Now it is even more important that we elect a GOP majority this year, and more importantly in 2012, along with a Republican president. I feel the same as you. Its one thing for me to have to live through it, but I have a 10 month old daughter and plan on having another baby soon. I want them to grow up in my America, not Obama’s America.

  • RealQuiet

Seeing these Dems with all their stupid sob stories and trying to provoke the protesters to kick the crap out of them so people will feel sorry for them. Just a sick lot these lousy excuse of human beings these Dems are. All they do is play on people’s emotions so they can worm their way into the hearts and good graces. Ugh.

  • redneck_hippie

push the Stupak abortion language only.

Now is not the time to worry about appearances. This vote is about abortion, abortion and only abortion.

    For pity’s sake

  • WarEagle01

Stupak represents a conservative district and he just opened himself up big time by this act of cowardice. Stupak can now be beat. That’s the point. He’s demonstrated that when a conservative votes for a Democrat, no matter how “conservative” that Democrat claims to be, it is a completely wasted vote. Might as well take your ballot, wipe your behind with it, and then flush it down the toilet (you would actually get more use out of it that way).

  • msctex

Stupack would eventually be found on the end of a rope, after realizing the extent of the lies on which he based his traitorous decisions.

It’s one thing to sell out. Quite another to sell out for no real reason at all. It eats at a man.

  • archer52

Would be a better fit, BUT I like the idea of the silver coins. As a matter of fact, when you who live around him see him out. Walk up an hand him one.

Say, “I think you dropped this as they were dragging Jesus away.”

He would deserve every bad moment, but not for his changing position but for even supporting the bill at all. It is filled with wrongs. A man of conviction would have walked away long before he used abortion as a tool to show how committed he was to his faith and principles. The only fools here were those of us who thought politicians on the left could have a conscience. I think the minute they are elected into office, Pelosi cuts it out with a dull knife in their first meeting, like some kind of crazed mad scientist.

what better way to make the distinction between a party that believes in freedom of conscience and life

    and those “who are legion.”

It is just wrong to force us to fund abortions and know that more babies must be murdered.

  • azaeroprof

Though with shipping, it was actually $8.61. I will also give to his opponent(s).

Why all the vitriol on Stupak? I’ll tell you. This reminds of a line from the movie “You’ve Got Mail”. Tom Hanks tells Meg Ryan, “It’s not personal, it’s business.” She replies “What is that supposed to mean? I am so sick of that. All that means is that it wasn’t personal to you. But it was personal to me. It’s *personal* to a lot of people. And what’s so wrong with being personal, anyway?”

I have 3 kids. They will be saddled with the Dem’s socialism for the rest of their lives. Millions of babies will be aborted with MY tax dollars AND the tax dollars of my children and grandchildren. THIS IS PERSONAL TO ME! And Stupidpak joins Obama, Pelosi and Reid as the “personal” faces of this travesty.

If I’m a Democrat and the GOP tries to repeal this, it’s as easy as can be to stop it. “The Republicans want to take away your health care.” And it’s a dead issue.

Why do you think this was so important to the Dems? Because it will never be repealed.

  • earthmover

    1) “the general public knows that a law written by Congress holds more weight than an executive order.” When Obama (or any President) signs his name saying, “It shall be so,” do you think most people know the difference?

What principles? Stupak is a traitor and the 216th vote for Obamacare aka Stupakcare.

  • Hera

Convention wisdom is that this legislation cannot be repealed once passed. But there is nothing conventional about Obamacare, it is hated by a majority of Americans and was passed against the will of the people using bribes, intimidation and blackmail. I would not be so sure it will not be repealed. The first step is to starve it of funding.

  • Michael Dugas

about voting no if he didn’t get abortion funding removed from the bill.
If he was serious than he’s a total idiot because he told people openly that if his attempt to get the funding removed failed he would still vote yes thus destroying the what ever advantage his threat to vote No would have given him.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URr68joWr1E&feature=player_embedded

Stupak’s problem is that the Dems ended up needing his votes so they couldn’t give him and his alleged pro-life Dems any cover with No votes.

Just remember folks, General Washington lost a lot of battles before he won the Revolution! Even if we lose this battle the citizens of this country have been awakened and they are becoming skilled at opposition and in the end the righteous will win and that is Us!

  • hunter

I can only tell you that I am very disappointed in my fellow Knight.
I am starting a conversation with some other Knights to discuss what should be done.
If there is a way to bring him back from this tragic error, it should be explored.
If the only answer is to run him out of office, and the Knights, both of which this latest decision of his betrays, so be it.

  • hunter

Could be a pretty good move.

  • abingtonjim

Interesting, but not necessarily true. Impeachment of the POTUS would solve the problem but create others. What you have to do is work in the opposite direction. Start by taking over the Congress and start special prosecutors, hold hearing under oath with key figures from his administration and convict them of lieing to Congress, build a case to where even the biggest idiot can see how corrupt he is and then give him the Richard Nixon treatment and start impeachment hearings, building up a solid case, open so the public can see everything, “transparent” as ?bama calls it. Offer him two choices, the shame of impeachment or his resignation. The only problem I see is that he may take imeachment for unlike President Nixon, Mr ?bama has no sense of honor or duty.

  • abingtonjim

but living in a capitalist country, somebody has to make a buck. Silverplate pennies, they’re made of copper so an overnight bath in a vinegar works to clean them, a small plastic tub, a 9 volt battery, a few small pieces of copper wire and a small piece of silver or silver plated metal. Easy to make at home, takes 5 minutes to set it up and 30 minutes or so sitting in the vinegar. Plug in battery, rinse after plating and mail them out. Easy! Saves you money and you know they’re going to be sent out.

  • caseoftheblues

and he should be despised and voted out of office….we can’t forget the ringleaders of the crime that was just perpetrated against this country, our future and our children…..Obama, Pelosi and Reid. • IJB

Don’t be fooled by people like Gene Taylor or Chet Edwards – if the Dems held just a 2 seat majority in the House, you can rest assured that both Chet and Gene Taylor would voted *for* this HCR bill.

My dad lives in Mississippi, not in Gene Taylor’s district, but I gathered he was a conservative democrat.

Travis Childers from North Mississippi tripped up on his first vote but has been conservative ever since.

Unfortunately, my dad lives in Benny Thompson’s district. Thompson has become a millionare since becoming a congressman.

He seems like a reasonable sort and his facial expression matched my reaction to the upcoming doom–he looked down as heck.

That should help a lot. We all need to use whatever skills we have to help defeat Stupak.

Personally, I’m no longer willing to give Taylor and his kind a pass.

He cast his vote FOR Obamacare, FOR abortion on demand, FOR cap and trade, and FOR socialism … when he voted to seat Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.

There are no principled Democrats. If they were principled, they would not be Democrats.

There is no such thing as a pro life democrat. When it comes time to vote regarding life and other moral issues they all cave and vote the party line. The only time they stand up for these issues is when it is safe to do so – meaning their vote isn’t needed. Anyone who is pro life should never vote for any candidate representing the democrat party – at least so long as the progressives are in charge of the party as they currently are.

I’m sure they could use the update for their next version.

Here is a video of Stupak when he didn’t know he was being recorded…he’s lied all along!

Thank you rwm52. No I know who else to” thank”.

Wondering if Dan Lipinski from Illinois (my home state) was “spared” from voting “yes”, to save his seat in 2010, or if he really DID vote for his convictions on funded abortions in this Bill. We probably will never know. He did vote “yes” for the initial HOR version, hoping for improvement during the “reconciliation” process between the House & the Senate, which obviously didn’t happen, before voting this crap into legislation. I would like to believe him, but can ANY Democrat be trusted after what just happened? Me thinks no!

She is a Ron Paul supporter. I don’t know when she set up her website, but she was surely in the race before the Stupak pro-abortion vote. She still has only 998 members on her website. Her website has an issues tab. Missing is any national security position. That is understandable for a Paul supporter. They avoid the issue because most conservatives consider national security to be very important, and, the Paul type’s hold a position closer to Obama’s.

I just checked out Tom Stillings, and, I also don’t know when he announced, but he has 164 facebook friends. He talks about his positions on issues, which are conservative for sure. He is a little confusing on his wording about immigration. He needs to clarify that.

Dan Belinshek has 18,000 facebook fans, a great listing of his positions on the issues, which are completely conservative. He jut announced a week ago, and gained most of his supporters since Sunday night. I’m sure he will have his website up post haste. Not that I like, or agree with the RNC, but, they have already been in touch with Belinshek, which may indicate that he is the strongest candidate to go up against Stupak. Barring any major negatives to come out about Belinshek, he is my choice of who to support.

Of course I don’t live in Mich., so I can’t vote for any of them. This year it is important to support those that will represent our values best, even those not in your immediate district.
