EDITOR OF REDSTATE

Nikki Haley’s Money Bomb

Folks, if you read my post on how we do it, you need to understand that intrinsically we cannot do it just at the federal level.

We must have state leaders who will zealously defend the states’ turf against the feds. We have to raise up conservative leaders in the states because with strong conservatives in the states, we stand a greater chance of rebuilding a farm team that is conservative.

That is why RedState is so zealous in our support of Nikki Haley. She is going up in the polls in South Carolina. She is getting a lot of good attetion and breaking away from the pack.

We need to do everything we can to help people like Nikki Haley. She is the next generation of conservative leader.

Do what you can to get this money bomb going. Pledge what you can and lets blow it up on March 30th.

We need to support Nikki Haley. We need to make this moneybomb a success.

Pledge today. Give on March 30th. Together we can blow up South Carolina politics and see a real conservative like Nikki Haley land on the top.

I have been one of Nikki’s biggest proponents. If we can’t get a woman like her elected, we should simply give up now.

    Support Ms. Haley for Governor!!!

Why Nikki Haley over Henry McMaster?

I just saw the daily poll on Politico’s site:

“Do the ugly incidents that broke out during the health care protests mar the tea party movement?”

The questions presumes, of course, that there actually were “ugly incidents.” We know from other stories that the MSM is referring to the use of the “n” word.

Last night O’Reilly, to his credit, interviewed a journalist who had been scouring her sources for video of any evidence that black members of Congress had had racial epithets thrown at them Sunday as they marched through the crowd of protestors. As of the time of her interview, she hadn’t found any such evidence. When asked if she thought that claims of those incidents having occurred were lies, she said she couldn’t call them lies since obviously she hadn’t collected video of every moment of their walk, but she did point out that of all she had found and viewed, there was no evidence of it to date.

It’s despicable that Politico offers up such a poll, but what else it new?

What really frosts me about the constant attempts to smear conservatives with “evidence” of “their racism” is that no in the MSM ever is called out on their use of the “r” word-”racist.” For that matter, no one at Fox, who has him on as a guest fairly frequently, ever calls out Al Sharpton or even Geraldo for their quick use of the “r” word.

Since you now have a voice on CNN perhaps you can begin to refer to it as such–as the “r” word. Both the “r” word and the “n” word seek to demean, to dehumanize, to delegitimize, to ostracize. Whenever libs or anyone else calls someone a “racist” w/out any such evidence that he or she is, we need to scream, “You slime–you used the ‘r’-word!”

The indescriminate use of “racist” needs to be linked to the McCarthy tactic that it is. Libs will absolutely die if they are linked to Joe McCarthy, but that is what needs to happen for they are indeed McCarthyites, guilty of accusing people w/out evidence, guilty of ascribing guilt by association, guilty of the smear for person and political gain.

    Dems have become McCarthyites!

If you know anything about South Carolina politics you’ll know that the governor in this state might be the single most irrelevant person in government. This is a legislature run state and the governor is purely a figure head. When you have 90% of the governor’s vetoes overturned year after year you have no choice but to come to this conclusion. I’m sure Ms. Haley is a fine conservative, but there’s no need to waste money on this office when it could be put to use much more effectively elsewhere.

She has been an effective and articulate advocate for limited government in SC. If you want to clean the stables and get rid of the corrupt party establishment this is a great place to start. I have been proud to make several donations to Haley and will do so again on the 30th.

For one example of the excellent work she is already doing in the legislature, check this out

How many Republicans complain about unaccountable education bureaucrats.? And how simple is this solution to make sure more money is spent in the classroom? We should have leadership in all 50 states offering these sorts of bills, but Haley made it happen.

She is 100% worth our support

Constitutionally weak, yes, but the office of governor in South Carolina is a bully pulpit for fighting corruption.

It is obvious that Nikki Haley can pull off what she’s promising because she’s very nearly done as much from her legislative seat by taking her case to the people and shaming the corrupt party leaders of South Carolina’s Statehouse into action.

It takes sunlight on these cockroaches to change their behavior. No governor has really done that yet.

Nikki Haley knows how things work very badly and secretively in the statehouse and she knows the way to change things. She’s the only one who is stating she’ll make voting and fiscal transparency and accountability her goals. Further, she’s the only who can BELIEVABLY claim those items as her goals because she’s the only one with a record of action on those goals.

I’ve been dabbling in politics to various degrees as a citizen volunteer since I was voting age. I can tell you that Nikki Haley is the first politician I’ve encountered as my representative who is a real person–just one of us in terms of her upbringing, morals, ethics, and common sense. On the other hand, she is definitely a notch above in intelligence and energy and guts. You can talk to her and she really listens. Best of all, she takes action.

I am confident that as governor she will again take the fight to the enemy. We need that.

The alternative good ol’ boy leadership being offered to us is, in the starkest terms, more surrendering of our rights and our money and sliding further into sleazy politics and national disrepute. There’s no other choice but Nikki Haley as far as I’m concerned. I think we’re incredibly lucky we have her as a choice at all when usually we just get the same ol’ corrupt good ol’ boys running.

The absolute last thing we need is someone like G. Barrett to win and perpetuate the same TARP mindset that got us into this mess.

Nikki is a fine lady and will make a fine governor. I urge you all to get behind her and financially support her!
