Have you made a pledge yet to Nikki Haley

Folks, as we’re seeing more and more it is going to take aggressive state leaders to fight against the federal incursion into our daily lives.

You need to pledge to help Nikki Haley. Let’s light the fuse on this moneybomb on the 30th.

But pledge today. We need to get this thing going.

Don’t doubt me on this. We need Nikki Haley in office.

let’s give her all the help we can… we need some excellent conservatives in SC to counter Lindsay (dem in disguise)Graham

We can’t keep electing guys like Bailout backers Gresham Barrett and expect to produce anything other than unaccountable RINOS like U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham.

We all need to get behind Nikki and donate as much as we are able! She’s a fine lady, and will make a fine Governor.

It’s a 4 way race headed into the primary. She is in 4th place but only 7 points behind the leader, AG Henry McMaster. If no candidate gets 50% there will be a run-off, at least that’s how DeMint got the nomination in 2004. I don’t think the law’s changed.

    From The State:

“McMaster scored the support of 21 percent of likely GOP primary voters, with Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer of Greenville second at 17 percent. U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett of Westminster registered 14 percent support while state Rep. Nikki Haley of Lexington had 12 percent.

But Rasmussen found the GOP race is still wide open, too, with 29 percent of voters undecided and 9 percent supporting other candidates.”

As I said before, this is a waste of valuable resources that could be used for elected officials that can truly make a difference. The Governor of South Carolina is a figurehead position that would be considered more ineffectual than the Queen of England. The legislature runs the state. If you think Nikki Haley or ANYONE can make a difference from that office, you are sadly mistaken.
This is from 2008, the year BEFORE Sanford’s problems and with a “Republican” legislature in control:
“Last year lawmakers overturned 228 of Sanford?s 243 budget vetoes, overriding all but $1.8 million of the $167 million in cuts the governor sought.”
Now you tell me how giving money to Nikki Haley instead of people who can actually make a difference makes sense.

There is momentum behind Nikki Haley right now. She just succeeded in getting the Transparency legislation to pass today. The executive branch in S.C. is weak, but it does provide one very valuable tool: a more effective way to communicate to the citizens. She is unbelievably quick and articulate. She intends to approach the General Assembly with a new approach: publicize three major issues each year for them to address and let the leaders pick one. I am telling you she accomplished Transparency legislation (although it needs to go further) and she will get things done. She’s not aloof or incendiary like Sanford. I have already pledged. I am so tired of seeing my friends in the legislature bow to Republican leaders who are rated F with the Club for Growth just because they promise social conservatism (which is extremely important to me as well). I have friends challenging some of these Republican legislators in the primary this summer. Believe, me, S.C. will be a model to the rest of the country for conservative revolution after the primaries in June.
