Latest from Charlie Crist, that decisive leader

This evening in Florida information has begun trickling out about Charlie Crist’s plans — he is undecided and polling the heck out of everything.

From one person who is directly in the know comes this, “I just heard he is polling everything: stay in primary, run as independent, run for REELECT as governor.”

Charlie Crist has become Rob Frankenjesmerstein’s monster. The NRSC created this being and is now unable to control him. He risks now throwing more races into chaos, causing more money to be spent (remember, the NRSC said backing Crist meant it would not have to spend money in Florida), and fracturing the GOP.

Charlie’s diva behavior is NRSC Chief Strategist Rob Jesmer’s creation and problem. It was Jesmer who wooed Crist into the race. Remember: the NRSC has said all along that Crist was their only primary endorsement because that’s what it took to get Crist into the race.

I warned John Cornyn about hiring Jesmer way back at the end of 2008. Let’s not let the NRSC try to walk this back and distance themselves from the disaster. After all, regardless of what they do, they’re going to eagerly embrace credit in November for GOP gains. But this . . . this they own themselves.

of Florida as a Republican, he’s already got a challenger- Rick Scott, chairman of Conservatives for Patient’s Rights, founder/president of Solantis (fee-for-service emergency health care clinics), tea party speaker, and former hospital administrator. He just announced last week.

“Charlie Crist has become Rob Frankenjesmerstein?s monster.”

    That’s pretty good.

I can’t see him dropping out. A poll found he would lead Crist if he went back to the race. The one race I might accept Crist in is Kathy Castor’s district. It is heavily Democratic and Crist used to represent part of it in the state senate.

and get the backing of the establishment and Rubio to kick the crap out of Nelson in 2012! He can play “kingmaker” (though the KING is crowned) and smartly become part of the Conservative Revolution instead of becoming a LOSER like Arlen (the Ghost) Specter! One think a majority of people don’t like is a sore loser and if Crist goes Independent he will be the epitome of a SORE LOSER!

Sorry, I just couldn’t help myself.

Yes, I do. I would give him a very concise answer.

My question is, which one is which?

    …GET OUT!

  • David123

And your post rates a 5 even if you mispelled “thing” the first time. :-)

FL D-11 has been in Democrat hands since Claude Pepper held it in the late 60′s.

not sure I have the stomach to for for Charlie. I would prefer to see Eddie Adams in the seat but I have an intense dislike for Castor.

  • redtillimdead

And then, in redistricting, it could be drawn redder and primary time!

  • RedBeard

…we can’t tell which one is orange.

  • txgho1911

Between his attitude in this race and a veto for conservatives he is toast this year.
If he drops out then maybe he has a shot in 12.

but perhaps someone Crist doesn’t dislike should suggest he consider what happens to his political future if he runs as an independent and loses. As Jaded noted above, people hate sore losers running for office, so his poll numbers are bound to drop after he announces.

  • mdd1956

That would show character and don’t think he has much of that to spare. Was having dinner with friends Saturday evening and the group had a sneaking suspicion The Orange One would love to find a path to the Dems.

  • peterschorsch

Not that it makes a big difference, but Crist is actually not polling any of the scenarios listed above. This is more so for logistical reasons. He just doesn’t have the polling apparatus in place to conduct such sensitive polling.

I’ve been seeing stuff that says in a three way race with Crist as an independent, he beats Rubio.

  • deunique

Charlie Crist has done nothing about the Estancia Palm Springs Corruption in Palm Beach County that he knows about. If he is going to do nothing for the citizens of Florida, it is time we return the favors and do nothing for him. After all, fair is fair. Sorry Charlie!!! Not really, you really are sorry but not the kind of sorry we want in office!!!!!!!

  • deunique

Bill McCollum is a Sorry Charlie fellow who has refused to do anything about the crime and corruption in the Village of Palm Springs that has been reported to him. It is time we quit giving the do nothing politicians more chances to do us wrong. Out Darn Spot!!!

    Give the lady a chance.

  • thefunghoul

Sorry folks but we turn our backs on the ones that brought us to the dance… Crist is going to run as an independent and split the vote! I would have supported Crist… But there is no chance in hell I’m going to dumb myself down and vote for Rubio… Has anyone heard him speak?

  • wtbeach

What do you have against Jessmer?

  • RedBeard

And yes, I have heard him speak several times, and I’ve heard quite a few interviews with him. Each time I become a little stronger in my support for Rubio.

Just post a bulleted list of the specific things you don’t like about Rubio, and I’m sure you’ll get a nice discussion going.
