1. President Obama’s Most Controversial Nominee

On February 4, 2010, President Obama nominated Judge Robert N. Chatigny to be elevated to the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. From the President’s press release on the subject: “Judge Robert Neil Chatigny has served as a U.S. District Judge for the District of Connecticut since 1994. He was Chief Judge of the Court from 2003 to 2009. Judge Chatigny is being nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.”The Senate Judiciary Committee discharged the nomination of Judge Chatigny last week on a 11-7 vote, with Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) abstaining, sending the nomination to the full Senate. In the post at RedState is a video taken from Chantigny’s hearing and interviews done with Chatigny while incarcerated. WARNING: This video documenting Judge Chatigny’s actions in presiding over a murder trial and during subsequent appeals for Michael Ross, the “Roadside Strangler,” is disturbing, yet important to watch in full to understand the case being made against the President’s nominee. Please be aware that during the interview with Ross, some very disturbing elements of his crime and his fantasies about his serial killings are discussed in graphic detail. Please click here for the rest of the post.

2. Yet Again the NRA Sells Out Freedom to the Democrats

There are few organizations purportedly on the side of freedom that aggravate me more than the National Rifle Association. In fact, these days I cringe when I see good conservatives with their lifetime member sticker from the NRA on the back of their cars. I support Gun Owners of America, which is a consistent and uncompromising defender of the second amendment, not a weak little girl of an organization protecting itself while throwing everyone else under the bus.But that’s what the National Rifle Association is doing. You and I are willing to stand together because we know we either stand together or hang separately. The NRA legislative strategy in the past few years has been to hang everybody else so they can be the last man standing — more interested in maintaining the veneer of bipartisanship than actually standing up for the second amendment. The Democrats are trying to come up with a new law to respond to the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision on campaign finance rules. The NRA had objected to the Democrats’ proposal, but then secured a carve out for themselves from the legislation and have dropped their objection. Please click here for the rest of the post.

3. Rep. Etheridge Blames The Victim

So, Democrat thug Rep. Etheridge offers the typical non-apology apology after footage of him assaulting a young man were posted on youtube. He says he watched the video and in retrospect was wrong. Sort of.Please click here for the rest of the post.

4. TN State Rep: “You have to lift up their skirts to see if they’re women”

Democrats hate women.”Rep. Janis Baird Sontany (D-53) said of female Republican state legislators, ‘You have to lift their skirts to find out if they are women. You sure can’t find out by how they vote!'”…Because all women are supposed to vote the same way? So much for thinking for yourselves and letting women make “choices.” It’s like pretending that all black people are the same. Oh but wait, they do that too. TN State Rep. Janis Baird Sontany has decided that if you are a women, there’s a checklist you’ve got to complete to be considered a woman. Don’t have the votes? Clearly you’re a gender traitor. Please click here for the rest of the post.
