Martha is endorsed by a left wing newspaper, the Montgomery Advertiser and she is also endorsed by a the Wetumpka Herald with is owned by the Montgomery Advertiser. The Dothan Eagle too, wow! All left wing papers who previously endorsed Bright, Roby has taken Morris Dees money, proposed a 500% tax increase while on city council. Yes, she has raised more money, has more paid employess working for her campaign and she cant pull off the primary spending 7 to1. Barber has owned his side business for years and its a bar...most every resturant has a bar in it Barber has two paid employess working in his campaign, with less money, and has done more than Roby in actions and calling attention to our problems in government today. I feel if Roby got to Washington she would have more employees/staff, spend more money and get half the job done while on our tax paying dollars. I vote Rick Barber

Rick Barber is one of the most exciting candidates to emerge on the scene in Alabama in decades. Each time I hear him speak or debate, I am reassured we actually have a candidate who will be willing to fight for the people of Alabama as well as the rest of the nation. I have no doubt that Rick Barber will welcome Town Hall Meetings with the same honesty, dedication and passion he has exhibited during his campaign and we will never find him cowering in the dark avoiding the hard questions.

Martha Roby is a "canned and prepared" candidate, the sweetheart of the Alabama Republican Party. Unlike Rick, Mrs. Roby has gone out of her way to avoid the difficult and revealing one on one venue and therefore has also avoided the hard questions. Rick?s fight has been long and difficult, as it will be in Washington, but I know he is up to the challenge. He continues to impress me as he stands tall and proud and answers every challenge the citizens present and he has not faltered once.

It is an honor and privilege to support and vote for Rick Barber.

Here is part of what it says:

Roby, who led a four-candidate field in the June 1 primary with 48 percent of the vote, narrowly missed capturing the nomination without a runoff. She will face Rick Barber, a Montgomery pool hall operator, who received 28 percent of the vote in the first primary.

I don't really care who wins but Barber has a real issue holding him back. In Rural& small town Alabama he faces tons of Southern Baptist -Church of Christ plus other church members who do not cotton to liquor by the drink, Ric Barber owns a Bar/pool hall.

Erick is this holding Barber back? He only got 20% or so in the 1st running.

When I think Southern GOP I don't think Bar owner.

I am not commenting on who should win or what but that's not a normal background for a GOP candidate.

Thanks Erick, this just made my day, "Were Tom DeLay to ever tell Rick Barber he must vote for something like No Child Left Behind or Eric Cantor to tell him he must vote for something like TARP, Rick Barber will put them both in his truck, drive right up to the gates of hell, drop them off, and head back to the light of freedom."

And, yes, he will be a great congressman.
