Understanding Barack Obama By Proxy Syndrome

Coming to a DSM-IV Near You

Kjersten Forseth of ProgressNow Colorado blasted out an email yesterday seeking to define Ken Buck early as too fringe for Colorado. In her email she said

What would you say about a man who thinks you should vote for him because he “doesn’t wear high heels?” What would you say about a man who endorsed a radical abortion ban, and says he even opposes a woman’s right to choose if she is raped? What would you say about a man who believes Social Security should be run by Wall Street, and the Department of Education should be abolished?

You’d say he’s crazy. And you’d say he’s too crazy for Colorado. But all of these extreme right-wing ideas, and more, are the words of Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck.

Friends, it is time to understand Barack Obama By Proxy Syndrome.

ProgressNow Colorado says Ken Buck is too fringe for Colorado.

This is a group that thinks supporting life is fringe and partial birth abortion is mainstream.

This is a group that thinks saving social security is fringe and bankrupting America is mainstream.

This is a group that thinks allowing you and me to make our own way in life is fringe and having government dictate our destiny is mainstream.

If Munchausen by proxy is inflicting pain on the people under the nutjob’s care to prolong the symptoms of illness, ProgressNow working for Barack Obama by proxy is committed to perpetuating high unemployment, high deficits, and out of control spending on the American people.

The powerful 527, Grow Our Party, that funneled millions into Colorado to try and defeat Ken Buck and bolster Jane Norton need to call an emergency strategy meeting and put Ken Buck’s campaign at the top of their priority list. They hand-picked Jane and made the wrong call. It’s time to prioritize now for Ken Buck. Ken is a target of this Administration because they do not want a ‘tea party’ candidate to defeat Obama’s hand-picked Senator. It’s not just about holding the seat; its about sending a message that the grassroots movement needs to be resting in peace by the time the ’12 election rolls around.

Additionally, Jane Norton needs to come forward with all that clear conviction and backbone she claimed to have and rally her supporters—individuals in Colorado, and the big donors that donated from around the country–and tell them their country is calling. Ken Buck is the people’s choice. He won. Republicans need that seat. There is no other discussion needed.

Sitting senators need to rally their districts; send an email and ask for donations for Ken Buck. High profile grassroots leaders need to start showing up and raising money. An all-out ground attack needs to begin in Colorado. Today.

This is exactly the same strategy Reid is using against Angle and it has had some early success. Look for more of this in more races as we get closer to November. Without anything positive to run on, the only choice for Democrats is the politics of personal destruction.

…the Department of Education should be abolished…and that’s not the only one.

The Dems have no ideas and seek to gain a foothold by criticizing common sense ideas that resound with a lot of Americans and flasifying a few others. They’re just preaching to the choir; the congregation is restless and wants to leave if they haven’t already.

Just one thought to keep in mind: if Socail Security funds were invested in the market and any dividends reinvested, we’d all be millionaires by retirement, regardless of market performance at that time. This would assume no further meddling in the market by the feds.
