1. Seven More Days. You Have Not Stopped Obama. You Have Won Nothing.
You have not stopped Barack Obama. You have not, to paraphrase P. J. O’Rourke, served the restraining order.
You have not made this country safe.
You have not stopped the advance of socialism in this country.
You have not stopped the Democrats from destroying the economy.
You, all of you, have won nothing. NOTHING.
And it will stay that way — imaginary wins, fictitious actions against an elite hostile toward the idea of America — unless you vote on November 2nd.
You, me, all of us, we have won not one damn race. Many have decided it is in the bag. Many have decided they’ve done all they can, given all the can, and are now resting.
Don’t rest. The election is exactly seven days from day.
You have won not one race. But you can.
Vote.
And then the real fight begins November 3rd.
In the meantime, here again are the top 99 races in the country. The GOP only needs 39. 37 are already swinging their way. Bold picks are my personal favorites.
Give money. Volunteer. Pray.

2. This is STUNNING: SEIU’s Racism Rears Its Ugly Head Again
One paragraph in a story about a Chicago politician teaming up with the SEIU to get out the vote on November 2nd says a lot about the SEIU and its views of African Americans.
It is one thing for the SEIU to send in paid (and unpaid) operatives to get people out to vote, it is quite another for them to target a race because they are more “persuadable” than others.

3. Jim Moran ranks military service below PTA membership.
Here’s a really good rule of thumb: when you’ve done something not only dumb, but actually vile – in this case, if you’ve declared that wearing your country’s uniform for twenty-four years is not ‘public service*’ – don’t compound the error later by trying to explain it away. Jim Moran (D, VA-08) apparently does not understand this rule of thumb, which is why he is now trying to try to walk back from the aforementioned vile thing that he said about Patrick Murray.

4. Congressional Report: Obamacare Costs America Nearly 800,000 Jobs
Today brings us the latest report from Senators Coburn and Barrasso, the two Republican physicians who’ve been doggedly following up on all the things we were promised about Obamacare, particularly the ones that have already turned out to be flat-out lies (”The gall!” shrieks a Democrat Hill staffer).
Much of the report is based on combining the findings of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and news reports following up with people who’ve already felt the law’s impact. Central to this issue: the impact of the legislation on America’s unemployment picture. Remember when Nancy Pelosi promised the health care bill would create four million jobs — “400,000 of them almost immediately?” Let’s go to the videotape.

5. Democrat Bob Etheridge Still Can’t Answer Simple Questions
Democrat Bob Etheridge [NC-2] seems to have a problem with questions. He just cannot find it in himself to answer them.
When students asked him last year if he supported the Obama Agenda, Bob Etheridge assaulted them.
During a recent debate, Republican Renee Ellmers challenged the Obama Agenda-loving Etheridge* and asked how he believed the federal government could handle one-sixth of the economy better than free enterprise system.
Bob Etheridge’s answer was really not surprising.

6. Viva la Union? Breaking the Stranglehold of Government Unions Before It’s Too Late.
Last week, it was revealed that the government workers’ union AFSCME is spending $87.5 million to try to keep Democrats from being defeated on November 2nd. Interestingly, some people seemed shocked by this. They really shouldn’t be though.
For decades, America’s union bosses have touted a desire to be more like their European counterparts and they’ve figured out the only way for them to accomplish this is through the political process. As November 2nd quickly approaches, however, the headlines across Europe should give Americans who are footing the bill for the government workers some pause before traipsing down the path to Paris.

Chavez seizes another US corporation's Venezuela division.
Kenny Solomon (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 7:31AM EDT (link)……..US Government……… Crickets.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced the expropriation of the local affiliate of the US-based glassmaker Owens Illinois, accusing it of causing environmental damage and exploiting its workers.
The company “has had years exploiting the workers, destroying the environment” in the western state of Trujillo, “and taking away the money of Venezuelans,” Chavez said during a government event broadcast on radio and television.
Chavez added that his government has “a list with more names” of companies that will be expropriated, but gave no further details.
Owens Illinois Inc. is a leader world glass bottle maker with some 22,000 workers in 21 countries. The US company has operated in Venezuela for 52 years, and has two plants that make bottles and containers for beer, drinks, food and liquor.

cactusjack Tuesday, October 26th at 8:02AM EDT (link)this is at worst a causus belli (an act of War) an at the least a provocation prompting a demand for apology and return of property to its Venezuelan and US owners, within a certain time expiration pending financial retaliation with the full cooperation of the international banking community. but today…..?
Some Rand Paul Supporters need to Calm Down
tngal (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 7:34AM EDT (link)How stupid can you get? There’s a video showing Rand Paul supporters stomping on a Move On. org woman prior to a Paul/Conway debate. Not a push, not a shove, and not pretty. This is not good. Ben Smith has the video of the news story at Politico. Its under the title Ugly scene in Kentucky.

I don’t get it. After months of work, these are the kind of things that do extreme damage to a campaign. Keep your heads people.

prove it
Doc Holliday (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 7:48AM EDT (link)first of all, is the candidate in charge of every single supporter? What is the true background to this incident? Have incidents where the union thugs have attacked Republicans been widely reported?
If someone really “stomped on her head” while it was on concrete, why was she doing a presser soon after? Why was no one arrested? Why are you bringing up Rand Paul in all of this? Did Rand Paul play a part?
If someone broke the law, let the law take care of it.
Molon Labe!
ok doc flip that one time
tngal (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 8:13AM EDT (link)Lets say..same venue everything the same, EXCEPT, it ws move on people stomping a paul supporter. You don’t think there would be outrage. It’d be all over the front page here, ace, hotair, everywhere. Paul has already come out and said this should not have been done and encouraged restraint btw, so he’s not condoning it by a longshot.
You don’t have to “prove it” at this point, its too close to the election and can do serious damage. Disproving early in a campaign is one thing but its so close to the election it’ll take days to turn around even if the entire thing were staged. Just type in Paul and stomp in your googly and see what pops up.
I stand by the fact it looks bad, and should not have been done. And as to “Why are you bringing up Rand Paul in all of this?” Notice I said supporters!! I never claimed he was the one who did it.
We not only should be pointing out all the nasty stuff the other side does but discouraging this type of behavior from our own people. We’re too close to the finsih line only to have it ruined by the actions of a few overzealous supporters.
Fiorina hospitalized. reportedly infection
tngal (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 2:04PM EDT (link)From various accounts, including the Hill.com its an infection possibly attributable to her reconstructive surgery. Not sure how long she will be hosptialized but it will keep her off the campaign trail for a bit.

Obama coming to Charlottesville to place the "kiss of death" on Perriello
Scope (Diary) Tuesday, October 26th at 2:22PM EDT (link)He’s down by 11 points against Robert Hurt. Don’t believe The Hill or his own internal polling that claim he is only one point behind. If he was only one point behind, the One would not be wasting his time in Cville. He also has Vilsak coming to stump for him. I’m just waiting for the announcement that George Soros will be here next.
