Politics Trumps Security

The Heritage Foundation has the details on how the Democrats have decided unionization trumps objective security concerns. Those security concerns could legitimately be hampered by unionization.

Last night, on a purely partisan 47–51 vote, the Senate rejected an amendment that would have stopped government unions from organizing Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees. The vote was made possible by an announcement two Fridays ago by President Barack Obama political appointee and TSA Administrator John Pistole. Pistole rejected TSA’s original policy that collective bargaining’s inherently adversarial process would impair TSA’s ability to protect American air travelers. Pistole’s decision, coupled with Democratic control of the Senate, will net the labor movement—a majority of whom already work for the government—45,000 new members and $18 million a year in dues that are ultimately paid for by you, the taxpayer.

At this point, it is blatantly clear what Obama, the Dems, and the Union bosses are in business for.

It is bad enough that Obama and the Dems are using Unions (and vice versa) to destroy the economy on purpose. This move carries over into much worse.

As LUR as stated in multiple posts, Union organizations (not necessarily the workers in the Union) should be considered in direct support of Socialism/Communism, as stated in their doctrines and speeches.

The Union Socialist/Communist rallies and self declaration of these ideology/parties further demonstrate this even more.

Union dismantlement in this country needs to go to the top of the list of priorities for candidates IMO.

I haven’t heard Rush smack him down yet. Has he? Meddled thinks Obama is just being a traditional Democrat. In some ways he is; most of them hate the country they allegedly serve.

Which is part of why I’m all for shoving them as far away from being in charge as soon as possible for as long as possible.

This is the sort of thing that is slowly killing us a a nation, a slow death by millions of papercuts.

the jump tells of a 3-day strike by Canadian airport security:

“…managers allowed 250,000 passengers to board their plans without being screened.

“In the words of one Canadian security expert, ‘If terrorists had known that in those three days that their baggage wasn?t going to be searched, that would have been bad.’”

We should come up with an incentive to attract more flying Dutchmen to our country.
