Getting through is tough and even when I got through, the hold was quite long and then the show ran out of time so I never made it to air. Is it possible, and I guess it depends on show rules and if there are set agendas/scripts, but could there be a show maybe once a week, once every other week, or once a month where our questions, concerns, topics, etc all posted on a thread like this be discussed on the show? I am sure many of the ideas would have to be weeded out and time would limit how many comments are discussed, but it would be nice to tune in and hear things we are concerned about or discussing in here brought to the radio and dissected by Erick and his guests/callers.

He reminds me of a favorite moment in “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”: having found out he has been involuntarily committed and they can keep him as long as they want, McMurphy vows he will escape, but the other patients challenge it as impossible and demand a plan.

When he proposes to pick up a huge heavy marble fixture and throw it throw the barred window, the others say he can’t lift it and bet him he can’t. McMurphy strains and strains, but cannot budge the thing.

One patient laughs at him as he collects his wager, but McMurphy retorts, “Well, I least I tried, dammit. At least I tried.”

Ryan might not appreciate the comparison to a man labelled criminally insane, but he is certainly one of the few sane men at the world’s most exclusive lunatic asylum.
