Mike Huckabee - GO AWAY

scorpio0679 (Diary) Friday, April 8th at 7:50PM EDT (link)

I am not a Huck hater. Not by any means. I’m not a supporter either. I see his brand of politics as being “go along to get along” and “use government to solve problems.” However I’ve never really been THAT opposed to him. Until today.

If you haven’t seen him over on the Fox News Channel knee-capping John Boehner and selling out his own party, I suggest you go take a look. My blood reached boiling in record speed. He basically accused the GOP of causing this government shutdown.

The GOP is not causing the shutdown. The GOP is fighting to cut spending in a year where we are expected to run a 1.6 trillion dollar deficit. Why should we borrow money from the Chinese to give it to Planned Parenthood, NPR, and all of these other welfare state entities? It’s absolutely ridiculous!

It isn’t a policy issue its a fiscal issue! At times like these we simply cannot be using the federal government to fund these types of pet projects, whether supported by conservatives OR liberals. It’s absolutely ridiculous!

Mike Huckabee has just lost ANY chance of even getting a second look from this Florida voter . . .

Thank god for FOX News.

Among everything else, we owe them a debt of gratitude for paying this ignorant blowhard enough money to stay off of the campaign trail.

Boehner needs to Go

Fox News had the idiot Boehner give a quick clip announcing his surrender to the socialist democrats omn HB1 including spending cuts and policy.

I’m really sick of spineless GOP “leaders”.
It’s time to start the primary process. The GOP has to get the players right before we take on the socialists in 2012.

How? The primary process has already

played out last time, remember? That apparently doesn’t scare them. They think, rightfully, that they won’t have their feet held to the fire. I haven’t seen sufficient pressure from conservative media on this. All I have seen is discussion about a shutdown isn’t that bad (which I agree with). What I didn’t see was a concerted effort to organize and pressure the gutless wonders on our side.

Politico had a great article on why this happens. They basically said that our grassroots organization is ineffectual. They’re right. We rant and rave and talk about the problems, but we do little.

Why aren’t we running ads 24/7 in Boehner’s district and Cantor’s to pressure them, to let them know we are watching and that we can affect them in the next election? Look at Prosser. He hardly got any money or help for his election. Even here on RedState there was just a blurb ‘help prosser’ I think the night before the election. The libs had been preparing for weeks. But by the grace of God, we would have and probably should have lost that election. They are always one step ahead. And when I talk to people on our side about the need to organize, I get the most idiotic responses: ‘I’m an individual, I don’t take marching orders from any organization. i have a family and a life, I don’t have time.’ I think these are just cover for laziness or cowardice, but even if we accept these on their face, they are ridiculous.

Ceterum autem censeo, Obamaecuram esse delendam.

It’s the morality, stupid.

sorry, I posted prematurely,

If these excuse mongers are not willing to get active, they’re gonna lose everything. I’d love to hear them then.

Until we do more than moan and groan on websites and have long conversations about the problems in this country, we’re gonna lose. It’s. that. simple.
