It’s All About the Constitution

If you are a regular reader of RedState, you’ll know I am a huge fan of Hillsdale College and am delighted to help them advertise a great program with Dr. Larry Arnn. The program is called “Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution”. It is a 10-week online course providing a great learning experience about the Constitution.

There is no cost to register for this course, but I’d ask that you consider a donation to support Hillsdale’s efforts to educate millions of Americans about our nation’s Founding documents and principles.

If you are interested in learning more about our founding document, please follow this link to sign up. It’s free. It’s educational. It’s relevant. And it is Hillsdale College.

What a great idea for those of us who think we know everything, to remind ourselves that, if our foundation is shaky … we truly know nothing.

Thanks for the heads up, Erick.

as it gives me an opportunity to give an update on the course.

We are currently in week four of the class and I am enjoying it immensely. Courses are made available each Monday and by Wednesday, they have a question and answer link where the questions are taken from the students and the instructor for that week’s teaching answers the questions. I have been impressed by the kinds of questions that are asked as they are very relevant to current events.

There is an old proverb that says, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” This course could not be more timely as more and more Americans are realizing that it is up to each of us to save our country from those who are trying to, ultimately in my opinion, destroy it and throw away the Constitution — something Obama refers to as “fundamentally changing America.” It can only happen if we allow it. And we can only stop it if we know what the founding documents say, what they meant, why they were written and how to go about defending them.

Thank you, Hillsdale College. I will be happy to send a donation to support the work you are doing.

P.S. It is not too late to sign up for the course as each week’s teaching is archived so that you may take them as time permits.

Looks like a great way to learn more and pass on the knowledge to others.

In the second paragraph, I state that the question and answer session is made available by Wednesday of each week. The sessions are not available until Thursday of each week. My apology for the error.
