Then I see the story where one of the only three to ever escape the North Koren gulags, found two kernals of corn in a pile of cow dung. He picked them up, cleaned them the best he could, and ate them like it was a lifeline to survival.

Then I think of Michele Obama’s childhood obesity program, and her push for “get up and move” program, where she hops across the stage in a burlap bag. Problem has always been, that when your income can’t go real far, as is the case with Obama, poor people tend to buy the cheapest most starch laden foods, because it’s cheap, and it goes a long way. That is unless you are on food stamps. Then you can even post bail with that food stamp card.

So…when did this start. Well, let’s see…SCOTUS is none to pleased with Obama’s mandates within the Obamacare Bill. So…it starts it’s first firestorm….violation of the First Amendment…wherein the Left INSERTS a veiled Women’s Rights Issue….ABORTION and CONTRACEPTION. Forget the original violation…the First Amendment…it’s now all about women. Great…a voting block for Obama and an opportunity because Romney is not doing all that well with a woman’s perception of him, i.e., WOODEN.

So…in Rush goes…he took the bait…goes full throttle and makes the mistake of using a “no..no word”. Oh…the Left is ecstatic…what a gift. One of the Right’s icons has “stepped in it good”. On and on it goes until we are sick of Fluke and the word slut. But….like any addictive behavior…they could not let it lie…they had to get more…bury Romney.

In comes Rosen and she has to up the ante. April 11-12 is the day the Republicans FINALLY HAVE A CHANCE AT THIS ELECTION. Poor choice of words…I think not. They just could not resist it….they had to bury Romney and keep the Women’s Rights Issue going. This time it backfired….and backfired big time.

To make a statement that Stay At Home Moms are out of touch is past being absurd. Do you believe that Karen Santorum knows that medical costs are going up? How many times has Bella been in the hospital. Do you think that SAH Moms know about energy costs….I do…they drive cars…and if nothing else…they buy groceries and energy (oil prices) affect the price of just about every commodity going.

Will the Left step in it again…well, if they keep bad mouthing SAH Moms…remember…every person has a mother…and that is not sitting too well with our public.

The family and children are the center of Jewish tradition although secular Jews like DWS and Hillary Rosen are clueless.

I do not recall a wife ( or kids) ever being made the subject of a political comment or attack. Even during years of hated Bush Administration, Laura Bush was off limits as were the kids. What changed? The Leftists have nothing left to do but misdirect.

Trillions and trillions have been spent, borrowed and quantitative eased debasing the dollar and where are the jobs. We have higher food prices, higher gas costs. The economic policies have, clearly, failed. So attack the candidates wife, manufacture a racial controversy over what is a routine (if there is such a thing) homicide. In Philadelphia, there is, literally, a homicide a day.

…but we must be prepared to elaborate upon the implications thereof…to the working-stiff [of both genders].

The over-arching message of this spate of entries is to issue a plea to all conservatives to recognize this opportunity to educate those who don’t pay as much attention to such current concerns as we do. I’ll try to carry this message into the Jewish community, and others should personalize it as deemed fit. But we cannot do what the D’s fervently desire, namely, to relinquish the upper-hand.

Indeed, we must attempt to institutionalize this advantageous position…as we gerd for battle [for we cannot await the customary starting-gun of Labor Day Weekend]. BHO has been campaigning for a half-decade, and we must recognize the fact that he is forcing us to play catch-up.

Ann’s choices/accomplishments/struggles should be praised, REGARDLESS of whether she was a working-mom, NOT because she opted for that lifestule [for WHATEVER public/private reason(s) over the years].

So, the R’s should “violate” the presumption that the D’s are merely walking-back a “mis-spoken” comment; rather, they should develop the policy implications of the “It takes a Village” approach to life. We need not go to Santorum’s “It takes a Family” if it entails becoming entangled in his version of populist rhetoric [a concern episodically discussed in my Diary and supra]. All we need to is to pound-away [to the point of boring the listener] @ the fiscal import of what Ms. Rosen’s imagery would portend for The Forgotten Voter. {This is Guzzardi’s appellation for the target of all strategists who wish to think-outside-the-box.}

Then, let’s recognize that she did not specify what sentence or phrase she was attempting to retract/amend/whatever, particularly when recognizing that EACH of the above definitions of her alleged intent was to provide a fuller AND more odious elucidation of her perspective.

This reveals why she issued the statement; after having been provided bus-treadmarks by her fellow-D’s, she needed to provide them a ‘graph that could be invoked for them to then claim she’d “apologized”…and, thus, that the issue was indeed “closed.”

The D’s must NOT be permitted to escape this gaffe unscathed; indeed, it must be developed aggressively within the larger context of the POTUS-conflict.

What should be done, here, is emblematic of the discipline that must be directed @ the “class-warfare”-themed meme being waged upon the GOP.

When I was trained how to debate spokespeople for the Tobacco Institute in the 1970′s, I learned the need to “answer the question tersely within 10 seconds,” and then to pivot to what I wanted to discuss as a priority…regardless of the specific issue raised.

Therefore, ALL the R’s [running for offices @ all levels] should be advised to react publicly to this event with a FORCEFUL defense of the heterogeneity of the American lifestyle [without discussing the hot-button social-issue of "choice"] and how ALL voters are shackled by the economic/jobs policies of BHO.

This was discussed with Guzzardi–my cohort-in-crime who resides on the other side of the Schuylkill River, in MontCo, just-north of Philly–and we would suggest that the core talking-point should be predicated on the burden ALL women experience [for example] when they gas-up their autos [ranging from an SUV to a commuter-car].

It is not desirable to capitulate to accepting a “poor word choice” rationalization–as was done by EE and Greta–because it papers-over the true forces-at-play. We all know the D’s wouldn’t be so accommodating [witness the over-reaction to Rush's sarcasm when characterizing Anita Dunn's successful portrayal of the lady who claims to spend $3K annually on the Pill]. But we need to remain truth-tellers if we are to be true-to-ourselves.

This is why it was unwise to permit the D’s to escape; as I wrote yesterday [pre-"apology"], the R’s must built a credible counter-attack on the political import of Rosen’s comments.

The theme “has legs” rhetorically and, infra, it is to be predicated on an update of just what Ms. Rosen was conveying during her “reinventions” emitted yesterday.

This is what Hillel said ~2200 years ago, and many define this as the major distinction with Christianity, as quoted in the above “standard.”

The key-distinction, which has theological overtones which are best left to discussion elsewhere, is that the lack of predetermination mandates the moral acceptance of behavior that does not carry automatic reward [doing what others may not reciprocate] or punishment [not doing what others may do].

We can live ethically–indeed, flourish–by following a “higher standard” without being demonstrative about it.

We will never be able to teach about that higher standard if we are not trying to live by it. I admire Erick for trying to put into practice what he says he believes.
