Maybe people can now put 2 and 2 together and see why he has welcomed the Muslim Brotherhood with open arms into his government, putting lots of operatives in high positions and inviting them all into the White House as his “honored guests.”

Determining who qualifies for natural-born citizenship, who must be naturalized, and who is NOT a citizen.

Obama, by merit of having been born in HI, is a natural-born citizen – as is John McCain by merit of having at least one American parent – as opposed to Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is a naturalized citizen….

Birth kooks like to come up with their own citizenship standards, completely separate of the Constitution – which is how we get both the claim that McCain was NOT a citizen because he was born on ‘foreign soil’ (Despite both parents being American, and the place-of-birth being a US military installation) and Obama NOT being a citizen because although born on US soil both parents were not citizens…

Can’t have it both ways – and in this case, both groups are wrong.

Those who are natural-born

And those who must be ‘naturalized’.

There is no 3rd category of ‘non-natural, non-naturalized’ citizen.

Congress is given the authority to determine who fits into which category, via a ‘uniform rule of naturalization’.

Anyone born on US soil is a natural-born citizen.

Those who immigrate to the US and become citizens by oath-of-allegiance are ‘Naturalized’.

Parentage is not a requirement for natural-born status – it is merely one of two ways to obtain it (and only one US parent is required, at present).

What’s been linked to is not the original AP wire story; it’s the version of an AP story that was run in a Kenyan newspaper in 2004.

A Lexis search of articles at the time produces a number of other newspapers that ran that same AP story about Obama, and NONE of them refer to him as “Kenyan-born.” Except for that one from Kenya. If you don’t believe me, check Lexis or some other news aggregator for yourself; “Kenyan-born” was an addition by the Kenyan paper, not part of the original AP story.

So is the suggestion that Obama should have been cognizant of what an African newspaper 10,000 miles away wrote about him, and that he should have contacted them to request a correction?
