Cruz is not socially liberal, and at any rate RIGHT NOW, we need someone who wants smaller government because RIGHT NOW we are drowning in debt, the social issues are not really all that important RIGHT NOW.

And since Dewhurst has been such a squish on fiscal issues then how can you trust him even on the social issues?

Congratulations go to David Dewhurst for holding off the two social liberals, Cruz and Leppert, masquerading as conservatives. We cannot afford to dilute the Senate pool with more progressive/libertarian Republicans with upcoming US Supreme Court nominations.

On Ted Cruz….he refuses to back the other Texas senate for leadership position. The establishment will be after him hard.

On Hatch, I agree, he’s part of the problem. Yet, his voting record has been decidedly more conservative the last few years (probably because he’s a smart politician, and he saw what was happening in 2010). Still, I don’t trust him. There are few senate republicans who have earned any trust.

the campaign will need tons of money and boots on the ground. Dewworst has generated bald faced lies throughout this primary and it will take alot to really inform the people of TX. I hope we can count on Conservatives nationwide to make calls and donate. The country needs a senator like Ted!

to Tom Leffert. The former mayor of Dallas had Troy Aikman flooding the radio airwaves with “I don’t normally get into politics, but with all the stuff that’s going on in Washington lately…” and then a Leffert endorsement. So I suspect those voters were mostly from around Dallas?

Cruz took my county of Wilson and lost by just a squeak in neighboring Bexar (San Antonio – and it’s pronounced “bear”). If he gets down here and makes himself seen around what we all know and love as the San Antonio River Walk (but that freak Charles Barkley calls a “dirtly little creek”) his “Hispanic-ness” will register with local voters. Sorry, that’s not racial, it is how it is.

Mr. Cruz, Aug 10-11 there is the largest IBCA-sanctioned BBQ cookoff in South Texas in LaVernia. There will be over 10,000 in attendance throughout the weekend. If you contact the Wilsoncountyrepublicans.com we’ll be happy to show you around!

I’m sure true conservatives in Texas appreciated Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Cruz. I know I did.

However, I’m confused and disappointed that Palin chose to endorse Orrin Hatch in Utah over a much more fiscally conservative challenger (Dan Liljenquist). As you know, Hatch has wallowed in the Senate for 36 years. He has been a big government, big spending, chronic ‘earmarker’ (3rd highest in congress). He has voted regularly to increase the debt ceiling…and has been a proponent of socialized healthcare for years (check his voting record).

In summary…ORRIN HATCH IS PART OF THE PROBLEM IN WASHINGTON!

Sarah Palin knows his fiscal voting record. The race in Utah is similar in many ways to the race in Texas. Where is the consistency in Palin’s choice of endorsements?

Having said that…Go Ted Cruz!
