It also doesn’t mean I won’t voice my dislike for his liberal background and incessant lying during the nominating process. I don’t trust or like him and I resent the fact I have to vote for him if I want the most treasonous president ever sent back to Chicago. I don’t expect conservatives will be happy with Romney decisions in many areas including in his campaign.

Give me one reason I shouldn’t resent being forced to vote for someone nominated by an ill informed electorate and pushed on us by the Republican establishment. Only Romney own actions will make me change or keep my present opinion of him.

Anyway, this situation neatly sums up Romney’s primary problem with his base–we don’t know just how reliable he will be as a “conservative” President. That makes the Leavitt appointment very troubling, even to we who are in Romney’s corner. At best it reveals him to have a tin ear to his public’s voice.

If he doesn’t reverse it quickly, Mr. Leavitt needs to be “Harriet Miersed” back to the sidelines.

Actually, I like Connie Mack’s penny plan, which cuts spending by a net of 1% each year, and balances the budget before 2019. But it’s be best if we started slow, and the size of the cuts gradually increases as we approach 2015, before slowly dropping off again. The BCA would have to be amended, of course, and fiscal restraints will also have to be imposed beyond 2020.

When I say cuts I mean cuts—not reductions in the rate of increases.

I am not proposing a trillion dollar of real cuts in a year. Don’t know many people who are.

It’s not like any of us – their supporters – would remotely think of voting for Obama….

That’s probably a good bit of why it was such a hard-fought race… No need to worry about alienating future supporters… You’re running against Prez Zero…

I also like the idea of having a venture capitalist as our candidate, when the theme of the campaign is ‘Save Bankrupt America’…

Romney’s argument to be elected is ‘Hey, I’ve done this before – sure, on a smaller scale… But I can do it again…’

And so far… It’s working…

I worked a local GOP event this past Saturday and registered more than one voter after convincing them we can’t afford to sit on the sidelines. One woman in particular said she’d vote when I could find a candidate who would just promise to “try” to change things, but she didn’t believe any of them. By the time I was through, she was registered and promising to vote for Romney in November. Will she follow through? I don’t know, but at least I know I did what I could to convince her.
