problem {and you best believe there is a problem} is that the Intelligence Deficit expands Geometrically over generations amd gets harder to combat.

The hill gets higher and steeper.
The evidence is all around us and undoubtedly you-all see it {in so many ways] continually.

From “Certified” Teachers that know less than nothing {and prove same by merely opening their mouths} to elected officials who take an Oath and then become mere shills ,while failing in their Sworn Duties {and blowing off ‘complainers’ with form letters and blather}, America has a house-cleaning coming.

Mencken exclaimed we get “…the Government we demand (deserve?),and to get it good and hard…” {Did I get that right?}
No noise ,no input ,and you get what you always got.

Play time is over. The digital wave enables vast & rapid responses, and it’s up to us, and those of like mind.

The alternative is just not thinkable…….

Until the “old” Reps. can be overewhelmed by numbers or replaced, they will be stuck in the upthebudget mentality that has us where we are today.

And two things they can never cut are 1) support for albino squirrels ($1 mil\lion) and 2) studies of the Samoan brown snake (also $1 million annually), and the ONLY way to get rid of the squirrels and he snake is to eliminate grants (started by Johnson) and ensnaring the gov in BILLOINS spent for grant writers for nothing.

I could not agree more. While the Republic is self-destructing, the oblivious “enlightened electorate” concerns itself with vital issues such as “American Idol” and “Dancing with the Stars”. Ultimately, the Nation will get what it deserves.

We’ll soon have to update the sarcastic line attributed to Senator Dirksen (though there is no official record of his having used it) “A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon we’re talking real money.” I can remember when a friend argued that the line was “A million…”, not billion.

Since most republicans are not really fiscal conservatives and the leadership are most certainly not conservatives, they cannot save us from our nation’s budetary woes.

Yes, there are a number of good, fiscally conservative republicans, it’s just that they don’t have any leadership positions and since they are outspoken…the leadership is quite set on ensuring they remain on the sideline.

If you want conservative government, the future lies in sea change at the top. There’s a long way to go for that. It is a shame that Americans are forced to fight their governing parties tooth and nail to act in their interest, but we do and that’s not changing any time soon.
