On the Radio — Independence Day and Constitutional Conventions

I’m jumping in for the last hour of Sean Hannity’s Show in the Atlanta market only. I’ll be talking Independence Day and we’ll talk about whether it might be time for conservatives to reconsider their disdain of constitutional conventions.

You can listen live tonight on the WSB live stream and call in at 1-800-WSB-TALK. The show starts at 5pm ET and runs to 8pm ET.

Consider this an open thread.

“Making a presentation is a moral act as well as an intellectual activity. The use of corrupt manipulations and blatant rhetorical ploys in a report or presentation ? outright lying, flagwaving, personal attacks, setting up phony alternatives, misdirection, jargon-mongering, evading key issues, feigning disinterested objectivity, willful misunderstanding of other points of view ? suggests that the presenter lacks both credibility and evidence. To maintain standards of quality, relevance, and integrity for evidence, consumers of presentations should insist that presenters be held intellectually and ethically responsible for what they show and tell. Thus consuming a presentation is also an intellectual and a moral activity”

There is an amendment process so there is no need for a constitutional convention. It is IMPOSSIBLE to trust the left on constitutional issues they have proved themselves to be DINOS Democrats in name only, ( liberal, socialist, communist,Marxist, they are all the same in the current Democrat party), in reality they are at least Marxist. Marxism is redistributionism, look it up. The left has disposed of the radical pose for achieving the radical end, taken over the Democrat party and that Marxist end is the mission of the Democrat Party. Marxism gives the government complete control of personality property and SO DOES OBAMACARE. When the government can reach into your bank account without due process and take what they want will there be any limits to that,,, NO? How about your 401k, they can tap that too. There is no low to which the left will go to destroy the Constitution and this includes Obama. Overlay the issues with Obama and the democrats today on top of the Declaration of Independence and you will see NO DIFFERENCE between the grievances then and with the Democrats. Obama is a symptom, the disease is the Democrat party now owned by the radical left think tanks with tax free status. Repeal the 17th amendment and have the senate responsible to the states where they come from. When Bill Clinton cannot even define the word ‘IS’ how in the world can the left be restrained by the commerce clause. The commerce clause needs an amendment narrowing its reach so that even a liberal and John Roberts can understand it. Remember if you are accused of being a terrorist there is not longer any due process. If you belong to a group with the word Liberty in it you are now on a terrorist list thanks to Homeland Security bureaucrats. Sure as a citizen you may get your freedom again but only after it cost you everything you ever worked for. Today, the 4th of July will be the day that I mount an American Flag upside down. Free people are under assault by our own government added and abetted by the supreme court. November 6th 2012 will be the most important day since the founding. We are in greater danger of losing liberty today than ever before. The Democrats can not be rehabilitated from their big government ways and the question will be can the Republicans be rehabilitated.

    Try useing paragraphs.
Would make it easier to read.
    Other than that, I agree.

Then, I went through some basic operations on a site and got less tentative about screwing up an entry. Such may be the case here.

    Ditto on the Agreement. Cubed.

Sorry about the lack of paragraph structure, I contribute to sites that “space count” and every space matters or your post is tossed out. Other than that it was like hearing from Mrs Yaffe, 8th grade English teacher 50 years ago.

Never been called an english teacher before.

Like funwithknives said, use the enter key.
Took me awhile to figure that one out also.

I find that if I type my comment on notepad, I can get it the way I want, then copy/paste into the comment box, and 99% of the time it comes out the same.
(and nothing to be sorry for, just giving helpfull hint)
