The Blood on Barack Obama's Hands

The warning signs were there in 2009. President Manuel Zelaya of Honduras sought a referendum to change the Constitution of Honduras to allow himself a longer tenure in office. The Honduran Constitution permanently bars multiple terms and it is not an amendable provision of the nation’s constitution. The Honduran Supreme Court ruled that Zelaya had overstepped his bounds and Zelaya sought to stir up civil unrest. He was supported by Hugo Chavez, his friend, and Barack Obama, the new President of the United States.

The Honduran people ignored the outside pressure and have kept their former President in exile.

Barack Obama then traveled to the Middle East to sing songs of forgiveness for the bully America. As the Arab Spring sparked and riots spread throughout the Middle East, Barack Obama did nothing to quell them. He was happy to help push aside the American leaning strong man of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak. But the Muslim Brotherhood took over and expanded its power until the Egyptian military had to shut it down.

In Libya, Obama decided it was time to oust Ghaddafi who’d all but bowed before George W. Bush after Bush’s ouster of Saddam Hussein. Libya was no longer a threat. But in the process, we destabilized the region and got our ambassador killed in the ensuing unrest.

In Syria, lines in the sand were constantly crossed, then the President threw in with rebels who in turn threw in with ISIS. Now Russia is building military installations in Syria, threatening to further destabilize the region.

But, when the people of Iran stood up in their Green Revolution against their totalitarian masters, Barack Obama backed the totalitarian masters and refused aid and assistance to the people of Iran. In Ukraine, the President has done little to help the people there either.

Time and time again, Barack Obama has been on the wrong side of just about every uprising in the world. As a result, those who want to harm us have become emboldened. Thousands and thousands are dying gruesome deaths in Africa and the Middle East because of Barack Obama’s leadership.

It is not that Obama is weak. Nor is it that he is timid. It’s that he constantly turns a blind eye in the face of evil — a willful malfeasance.

As Fred Hiatt noted in the Washington Post about Syria,”This may be the most surprising of President Obama’s foreign-policy legacies: not just that he presided over a humanitarian and cultural disaster of epochal proportions, but that he soothed the American people into feeling no responsibility for the tragedy.”

Around the world, people have died and they have gone to their deaths knowing that Barack Obama has, each time he confronted evil, genuflected to it and turned his back. And the American Left, which once demanded justice and human rights for all around the world, applauded him.

How many will die because of Barack Obama? If we were truly honest the answer would be a whole lot more than any bodies laid at the feet of George W. Bush.
