Obama’s Crooks and Cronies a/k/a His Economic Policy Team

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 28th at 02:53 PM  |

Today Barack Obama met with his economic policy advisers. Let’s review who they are. First, there is St. Robert Rubin. The media prefers us to remember Rubin as the savior of the economy; such a good Secretary of the Treasury, Bush wanted a Democrat and found Hank Paulson. They don’t like to talk about this. Yeah, that’s right, Robert Rubin has his hands in Citigroup, | Read More »

Free Speech Protection Act of 2008

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 28th at 02:23 PM  |

On occasion we do get to write about bi-partisan legislation at RedState. This is one of those times. Meet Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld. There is a bill working its way through Congress right now called the “Freedom of Speech Protection Act” (H.R. 5814 in the House and S. 2977 in the Senate) that would not be moving forward, but for what happened to Dr. Ehrenfeld. Obama Surrogate Debbie Wasserman Schultz Says “Surge Was Not Effective.”

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 28th at 10:48 AM  |

This is a stunning interview with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Just get a load of this part: CBSNews.com: But isn’t it somewhat ironic that it may be the surge that he opposed, that John McCain supported, that allows Senator Obama, if he becomes president, to begin withdrawing troops from a much more stable situation? Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Look, **the whole stated purpose of the | Read More »

Submit a video. Be shown in all your glory at the GOP Convention.*

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 28th at 08:57 AM  |

Here’s the deal. The GOP went through the effort of putting up a website where you can submit videos to be shown in Minneapolis making suggestions for the GOP platform. Yes, they will show your video to the GOP if you make it through the screening process (keeping your clothes on helps). So go here and submit your video. Barack Obama Blew Off Troops According to Email Now Retracted by Captain Jeff Porter

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 28th at 08:42 AM  |

Yesterday, I pointed out that it does not matter if Barack Obama actually did blow off the troops, as an email from Captain Jeffrey S. Porter reported to friends and family back home. The email got onto the internet and spread like wildfire. The point is not that the email is true. The point is that a lot of people who do not really even | Read More »

This is probably not true, but . . .

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 27th at 08:30 PM  |

The following is circulating rapidly around the internets. In fact, it is circulating faster than the “Barack Hussein Obama is a closet jihadist” chain emails of yore. Hello everyone, As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to “The War Zone”. The Carbon Credit Scam and the Democratic Convention

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 27th at 08:34 AM  |

You’ve got to read this. The eastern Colorado wind turbine tapped for the Democratic National Convention’s carbon-offset program has one problem: It doesn’t generate any electricity. Convention organizers are now being questioned for their eagerness to market those credits to delegates. The DNC has contracted with Vermont-based NativeEnergy to offer delegates “Green challenge” carbon offsets to soften the environmental impact of convention travel. That money | Read More »

Is Don Young’s Campaign Nearly Bankrupt?

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 25th at 04:00 PM  |

I posted earlier that Don Young’s campaign made a huge mistake in airing an ad crediting Young with winning a taxpayer’s award he did not win. In fact, Taxpayers for Common Sense had given Young it’s Golden Fleece Award for ripping off taxpayers, not a “Hero the Taxpayers” award. Here is where Young gets into trouble. He is struggle for money right now. Sean Parnell, | Read More »

Another Sign Don Young Has Been In Washington Too Long

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 25th at 02:06 PM  |

Perhaps the only American politician with an ego bigger than Barack Obama’s, Representative Don Young is running an ad in Alaska that is simply not true. In the advertisement, Young claims he received the “hero of the taxpayer award by Taxpayers for Common Sense.” There’s just one problem. Taxpayers for Common Sense did not award Don Young the award. John Edwards has a child with his mistress*

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 25th at 01:24 PM  |

On February 21, 2008, the New York Times ran a 3,000 word article with no sources on the record and a lot of innuendo about John McCain having an affair with a lobbyist. Sonny Perdue Did Not Endorse Nancy Schaefer

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 24th at 09:55 PM  |

Is it 57 states or 51 states?

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 24th at 05:44 PM  |

The leaders of the reality based community just can’t seem to get a grip on reality. Obama thinks there are 57 states and now House Majority leader Steny Hoyer thinks there are 51 states. By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 24th at 10:02 AM  |

Jim DeMint’s Senate Conservative Fund is endorsing Bob Schaffer in Colorado. That’s great news. Schaffer is a good conservative. During his three terms in Congress from 1997-2002, Schaffer earned a 99 percent Lifetime Rating with the American Conservative Union. Bar Complaint Filed Against Obama For His Lack of Honesty

Though Obama has not released his bar application (transparency is just a bumper sticker for him), someone has filed a bar complaint. The complaint charges Barack Obama with failing to disclose his drug use.
