The Gospel of Obamessiah According to Gerard Baker
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 25th at 09:35 AM |
Go here. And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness. The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous | Read More »
Bob Schaffer Gets Conservative Endorsement
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 24th at 10:02 AM |
Jim DeMint’s Senate Conservative Fund is endorsing Bob Schaffer in Colorado. That’s great news. Schaffer is a good conservative. During his three terms in Congress from 1997-2002, Schaffer earned a 99 percent Lifetime Rating with the American Conservative Union. His average National Taxpayers’ Union ranking was 13th in the entire House, and he received the fourth highest score on two separate occasions. The Democrats thought | Read More »

By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 24th at 08:43 AM |
Barack Obama is set to speak at the Victory Column in Berlin. The Victory Column commemorates Germany’s last military victory over France and Austria in the last 1860′s – early 1870′s. Four TV stations are broadcasting the entire speech, and the rest are scrambling to secure prime locations at the | Read More »
McCain’s Veep
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 23rd at 01:06 PM |
I don’t know that we should blame Robert Novak too much for his story this week about the Veep being named. It could happen, but I doubt it. Here is what actually happened, according to some pretty good inside information. The McCain camp has begun vetting their top picks. To initiate the vetting process, Rick Davis called the potential picks to ask if they would | Read More »
The Potemkin Candidate Benefits From Leni Riefenstahl’s Heir
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 23rd at 08:46 AM |
In Israel, Barack Obama was twice given the chance to answer the question, “Can you ensure that there will be no second Holocaust?” Both times Obama declined to answer. The American media did nothing to engage Obama on the issue. Obama has likewise stripped the American flag from the back of his new 757 in favor of his campaign logo. The American media has done | Read More »
How Many Lives Lost and Americans Dead With Obama in the White House?
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 21st at 09:14 PM |
This is one of those impolite, but necessary posts. If we have established nothing else, we have established that Barack Obama is inexperienced. I would submit we have established that Barack Obama is a fool and quite ignorant in the ways of the non-academic world; one of those rare species of politicians, fooliis ignoramus, found frequently at the local level, but rarely able to survive | Read More »
Is Andrea Robinson Lying About Her Age or is the DNC Lying About Her Qualifications?
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 21st at 04:18 PM |
Here is the Rocky Mountain News’s profile of Andrea Robinson, the first Director of Sustainability & Greening for the DNC. In it, they note On a sweltering Wednesday in June, Robinson, a *thirtysomething* who’s worked on environmental initiatives for the Clintons and Al Gore, already has switched off the power strips in her Denver apartment, walked to work, trotted down the 16th Street Mall to | Read More »
Pure as the driven snow, except when they are not
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 21st at 05:23 AM |
How can this be? I thought only Republicans had these entanglements. How inconvenient. Billionaire Penny Pritzker helped run Hinsdale, Ill.-based Superior [Bank], overseeing her family’s 50% ownership stake. She now serves as Barack Obama’s national campaign-finance chairwoman, which means her banking past could prove to be an embarrassment to her — and perhaps to the campaign. Naturally, the Obama campaign says Ms. Pritzker has done | Read More »
Barack Obama Purges His Website. No Longer Critical of the Surge.
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 15th at 07:59 AM |
When the situation in Iraq was going badly, Barack Obama wanted us to retreat. When the surge took hold and the situation in Iraq improved, Barack Obama wanted us to retreat. No turn in Iraq went unstoned in Obama’s commitment to retreat and surrender. Not any more. Obama has thrown his old positions under the bus. And, for a guy whose campaign claims to get | Read More »
Democrats Say Obama is Insular, Uncooperative, and Inattentive
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 15th at 06:29 AM |
Yet more evidence that Democrats love President Bush. They say Bush is arrogant, inarticulate, insular, uncooperative, and inattentive. So what do they do? They nominate the closest equivalent to their allegations. Hey, imitation is the highest form of flattery! Nonetheless, it is humorous to pick through their concerns: – Until a mailing that went out in the past few days, Obama had done little fundraising | Read More »
Barack Obama Voted Four Times To Allow Criminal Charges Against Homeowners Who Defend Their Person and Home With a Gun
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | July 14th at 08:56 AM |
In a victory for individuals across the nation, whether they know it or not, the Supreme Court has decided the 2nd amendment does do what it says — give the people the right to keep and bear arms. Barack Obama’s rapid reversal from opposition to agreement on the issue would make mere mortals snap in half under all the G-forces. Despite Obama’s propensity to say | Read More »
