One of my big, big regrets this campaign season is that I have not been able to get over to Alabama to do an event with Rick Barber. He has asked and I very much wanted to, but my schedule has made it impossible. But I want to help and I want you to help. Rick Barber is going to be one heck of an | Read More »
Alabama voters head to the polls on Tuesday and I haven’t had as much to say about this race as I should. I’m supporting Bradley Byrne. Unions in Alabama are doing everything in their power to stop him — spending millions on him. His opponent, Robert Bentley, regularly sided with the Alabama teachers union to stop school reform in Alabama. People always make jokes about | Read More »
Conservatives did a marvelous job rallying in South Carolina and Utah. Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, and Jeff Duncan scored major conservative victories in South Carolina. Mike Lee will go on to be the next senator from Utah. The next big race will be Ken Buck vs. Jane Norton in Colorado. And conservatives need to rally to Ken Buck. Already the Norton campaign has gone totally | Read More »
Bradley Byrne and Robert Bentley are most likely the Republican candidates in the Republican runoff in Alabama. I’ve stayed out of that race in my neighboring state largely because I think the three top candidates were all great people, but I have to tell you that unions have spent more than $1 million trying to defeat Bradley Byrne. Why? He is a big believer that | Read More »
Tonight in Alabama the Democrats were crushed. Democrats crushed even Democrats. Popular congressman Artur Davis, running for Governor of Alabama, was crushed with an anti-Washington message. Parker Griffith, the Democrat turned Republican was likewise crushed by challenger Mo Brooks who pounded on Griffith for being a Washington opportunist. It’s easy for us to say this is a Democrat bloodbath, but the truth of the matter | Read More »
Just due to the sheer awesomeness of his campaign commercial. I notice, by the way, that he is iCaucus endorsed. I’ve got a growing body of friends who have serious issues with that group. Might have to dig into that.
Okay, so this post really isn’t about the Crimson Tide, but there is a crimson tide out there this morning — the Democrat dead pool. Bill Ritter, the Governor of Colorado, is gone. Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) is gone. Chris Dodd (D-CT) is gone. These three all announced on the same day and on the heels of all the other Democrats retiring and Parker Griffith | Read More »
“When both party establishments have, over the past decade, set us on a course for creeping nanny state fascism and socialism, I am no longer prepared to accept that it is just politics.” First, let’s get this out of the way. The news today of Parker Griffith becoming a Republican is a huge blow for Nancy Pelosi and one that her own party is, tonight, | Read More »
Rep. Parker Griffith, an Alabama Democrat is switching to the GOP today. That is a huge blow to Barack Obama. Griffith was an extremely endangered Democrat. We should now hope him be an extremely endangered Republican in a primary. We will not fix the GOP’s problems if we keep allowing people who are not one of us to suddenly switch the letter next to their | Read More »
It was only a matter of time before it started. The Democrats are beginning to turn on each other as their poll numbers sink and Republicans’ numbers start to rise. John Adler (D, NJ) says the healthcare legislation is bad for America. And he doesn’t care whether there’s a public option in it or not. The Weekly Standard notes “The bill that’s coming through the | Read More »
Parker Griffith is the Democrat in North Alabama who said America’s greatest enemy is America. Well, he is in full-bore coverup mode now. Parker Griffith claims his remarks were taken out of context. He says “I don’t think anyone in the room misunderstood what I was saying,” Griffith said. “I was in a room full of Baptist ministers, and we were talking about religion, not | Read More »
In Alabama’s 5th Congressional District, Democratic candidate Parker Griffith is out to educate voters on who America’s greatest enemy is. According to Parker, “America’s greatest enemy is America and its materialism.” Note: I had it as “imperialism,” but according to the source who provided it, it was “materialism” not “imperialism.” Speaking to the Colbert-Lauderdale Baptist Association on September 15th, Parker decided to give everyone a | Read More »
