The Dumb Things I Heard Last Night a/k/a Charles Krauthammer Disappointed Me Last Night
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | November 9th at 07:22 AM |
There are a few dumb things I heard last night that need to be put down quickly. First and foremost was a silly discussion across several news networks that the race for GOP Conference Chair in the House between Jeb Hensarling and Michelle Bachmann was a race between the tea party and the establishment. To say that Michelle Bachmann is of the tea party and | Read More »
Hensarling-Bachmann
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | November 5th at 09:59 AM |
Quickly, I want to follow up on this earlier post to make sure the key nuggets get eyeballs. I think having Jeb Hensarling as Conference Chair and Michelle Bachmann as Vice Chair would be a powerful duo. Hensarling is a very substantive policy guy. Michelle Bachmann gave up campaigning for herself to go all over the country for Republicans this year. She deserves a seat | Read More »
This is Terrific News
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | November 3rd at 03:27 PM |
I just heard that Jeb Hensarling is going to run for Conference Chair to replace Mike Pence. This is terrific news. Hensarling is one of the most substantive conservative policy guys I know in the House. Coincidentally, Jeb Hensarling is the first politician I ever gave money to. Seriously. The Club For Growth, in Jeb’s first run, sent out a mail piece with a list | Read More »
A Real Tea Party Worthy Amendment to the Constitution
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | March 4th at 10:47 AM |

The Spending Limit Amendment would keep spending as a percentage of GDP at the historical average since World | Read More »
House Conservatives Now Free to Rally to Hoffman
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | October 31st at 12:56 PM |
It is good to see Jeb Hensarling leading the rush to Hoffman this morning. I was more critical than I should have been by Jeb’s endorsement of Scozzafava. The party leadership persuaded too many good guys to go with her and the conservatives trusted the assessment. It’s outstanding to see Jeb leading the tide this morning as those who sat on the sidelines or went | Read More »
Jeb Hensarling Becomes a Party Man
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | October 9th at 11:59 AM |
Former Chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee Mike Pence is not giving Dede Scozzafava money and is not endorsing her. He refuses to side with an ACORN supported leftist. Contrast that with the most recent former Chairman of the RSC, Jeb Hensarling, a man I have long admired and the first member of Congress I ever donated to. Congressman Hensarling is throwing his principles | Read More »
“That Pelosi Woman Is Nuts”
By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | August 14th at 11:56 AM |
This, ladies and gentlemen, is must see TV. This also ties in directly with this new polling data that suggests the GOP is having a serious impact on the issue and the Democrats are feeling the heat. Six out of 10 Americans (61%) say Congress should return to Washington immediately to vote on lifting the ban on offshore oil drilling, according to a new Rasmussen | Read More »
