    . . . When?

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 10th at 04:47 AM  |

Yesterday I asked if not now, when do we get to hold Republicans accountable. It is mind numbingly infuriating to get some of the bellyaching from people that, in effect, we never can. I disagree. I know most of you do too. Right now, here are six congress critters we can annihilate in Republican primaries. The alternative candidates to them are far more conservative. If | Read More »

    Freedom’s Slate

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  July 5th at 04:46 AM  |

On this Independence Day, it is time to focus on improving the crop of Republican congressmen by examining some of the remaining Republican primaries. Want the GOP to stand up to Barack Obama? Tired of the GOP cutting deals? Want to make sure the GOP doesn’t back out of full and complete repeal of Obamacare if they sweep in November? Then you absolutely must support | Read More »

Freedom’s Slate: Who to Support to Give the GOP Some Testicular Fortitude

After the Fact, Romney’s Supporters in Michigan Seemingly Rewrite the Delegate Rules

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  March 1st at 06:08 PM  |

According to the Michigan Republican Party rules, each candidate who wins a congressional district will win a delegate per district. Romney and Santorum split the districts, so they each got 14 delegates. There are two statewide delegates. The statewide delegates are divided based on a mathematic calculation for each candidate who gets over 15% of the vote. In Michigan, as Right Michigan explains, Romney and | Read More »

    Three Percent

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  February 29th at 04:45 AM  |

When you have a candidate few people really like, whose support is a mile wide and an inch deep, whose raison d’etre (a 4am fancy word) is fixing an economy that is fixing itself without him, and who only wins his actual, factual home state by three percentage points against a guy no one took seriously only two months ago, there really is little reason | Read More »

Panic Time for Everybody. Sepuku Seems To Be Winning the GOP Primary.

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  February 13th at 11:14 AM  |

Mitt Romney should win Michigan. It is his for real home state — not one of the adopted or moved in to and bought a big house home states. Michigan is Mitt Romney’s home state as in his father was Governor of Michigan. He should win it. He is losing it. He is losing it to Rick Santorum. A PPP poll now has Santorum 16 | Read More »

The Michigan Republican Who Will Raise Your Taxes

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  November 9th at 02:08 PM  |

For this week’s primary target, I want to make an exception. I do it because the Congressman deserves it and to make a point. I want to focus on someone who represents a district that is split evenly between Republicans and Democrats. For sure, I think its wise to focus on those Republicans who are wasting a good conservative seat, which is why I have | Read More »

We Can’t Let Bart Stupak Go Without A Judas Like Parting Gift

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  March 21st at 07:07 PM  |

We can’t Bart Stupak go without a parting gift. Judas, after all, got 30 silver coins to sell out our Lord. Stupak needs something for selling out all the children sent off to be slaughtered thanks to his “compromise” that any President can pen away to oblivion — notwithstanding the questionable legal assumptions behind it. Let’s send him 100 silver coins. It’s only a $4.00 | Read More »

    The Motor City in Ruins

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  December 21st at 06:56 PM  |

Detroit was supposed to be a liberal utopia. Designed and built on federal dollars and federal-private collaboration for big business, the place has collapsed in on itself. Steven Crowder has headed to Detroit to show just want happens when liberals get everything they ask for. You really, really need to watch this video.

Thad McCotter Can Suck Eggs on This One

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  December 10th at 11:13 PM  |

Standing in the well of the House today, Thad McCotter (R-MI), who I sincerely like, did what the constitution expects — he stood up for his constituents and voted for the bailout. I’d expect nothing less of a Congressman from Michigan. The bailout will benefit his constituents. But in his floor speech imploring others to do the same, he ran aground on some populist rhetoric. | Read More »

    Jennifer Granholm Exposed?

By: Erick Erickson (Diary)  |  December 5th at 01:44 PM  |

Someone sent me an email with some pictures of Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. Except they are from years ago and one is largely of her nude. The note says she was trying to get a talent agent way back when and these were the pictures she used. The face appears the same for the most part, though more bleach in the hair and younger.
