Romney: 2010 Good For GOP

Human Events has a great interview with Mitt Romney up over there. Go check it out. And consider this an open thread.

On Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin

Allow me to put this to bed. Do I think Mitt Romney is behind the smears against Sarah Palin? Absolutely not. Do I think Eric Fehrnstrom is behind the smears against Sarah Palin? Absolutely not. I feel comfortable saying that there is no organized effort on Mitt Romney’s behalf or tacit support. I think that’s crazy talk. Here’s what I think: I think there are | Read More »

On the Romneybot Attacks Against Sarah Palin

When I was in St. Paul for the Republican Convention, more than a dozen people told me acolytes of Mitt Romney were feeding all the stories to the media portraying Palin in a negative light. In fact, I heard that one of the biggest pushers of anti-Palin stories, including encouraging reporters to pursue the “Trooper-gate” story was Romney spokesman Kevin Madden. BREAKING NEWS: Fox News Reports Romney is Out

Fox News is reporting Mitt Romney is no longer under consideration to be John McCain Vice President. The buzz is swirling now around a serious wild card: Sarah Palin.

    Miscellaneous Morning Tidbits

Now that the Dem Veepstakes are resolved, on to the Republicans. Here’s what I can tell you. Joe Lieberman’s (I-CN) star has burned out on the veep spot. I’m told McCain very much wanted Lieberman, but the campaign has heard from enough people to know it won’t happen. Expect Lieberman to be a member of the Cabinet, letting Republican Governor Jodi Rell appoint his successor. | Read More »

Okay, so I missed it by one

Tim Kaine appears to be out. Evan Bayh, who was my fall back choice, just might be it. Oh, and MITT ROMNEY looks to be the GOP pick. That’s what Mark Halperin says. The URL is now empty though, but the blurb still exists on the front page of Halperin’s site, along with a note that the New York Times reports people close to the | Read More »
